Has anyone used spray foam insulation on the roof of their barn? I have it in my horse trailer. Seems to help.
I'm looking for a way to make my barn cooler. Just looking to do the roof right now.
I have so many fans going you can't hear yourself think.
Are you talking about using the foam on the ceiling or on the roof. I would think if you used the foam on the roof it would break down being in the weather all the time and the sun would really do some damage. We done the ceiling of my husbands shop and it does make a different.

We just had ours done a few weeks ago. We are in okla where the heat & the humidity are brutal. We had the spray on foam insulation done & WOW, what a difference it made. My husband used regular insulation for the walls & put wood over that insulation. My horses are cooler & happier.

I've seen it used several places before. The birds eventually start getting into it but they do that with anykind of insulation in areas like that. The horses will thank you for helping them stay cooler.
