If so,how long after beginning treatment did you see improvement?Did it get worse before it got better?Did the enzymes seem to make it worse at beginning of treatment? Thanks in advance.

I was wondering too, so later on I'm going to google and see what it is

It has to do with pancreas,and not producing the enzymes to digest food.It leads to firehose type diareah,and is undiagnosed quite often.It basically starves the dog to death,and can shut down organs due to lack of nutrients.

Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency {EPI} is the inability to produce sufficent pancreatic enzymes to digest fats, carbohydrats and proteins.

I don't know why but I thought this had been discussed before.  Of course I could find nothing when I searched. . .

Its my rotti,my josey.We have been dealingvwith this for months,we went back to vet today and she has lost 8 lbs:(ive started a different routine with her,so we will see if it help.Thanks for asking,josey and i appreciate it.we are just resting right now.

What a few months ive had,my 22 year old grandson was diagnosed in stage 3 lymes disease,then he got menigitis complete with bells palsy,my sister is ill,my dog is sick,its the perfect country song,lol

Oh no!!!!!!! I am so sorry, I hope and pray that you're grandson and sister gets better real soon Mary.. How is the Grandson doing now? And I never would have thought in a millon years that you have a grandson that old, lol..

Lol,he is my sons stepson,but we dont do STEP anything in our family.He is on IV antibiotic for 28 days,was in hospital,now is home,and goes everyday for antibiotics.Still has quite a bit of leg and joint pain.I love him,i made him a special dinner the other day and spent time with him.We are just praying the side effects all go away.

Ahhh, gotcha!!!! I bet your a great grandmaw, I had a step grandpa and never even thought of him being a step gramps.. He was one of the best and missed the dickens out of him

I had a dog with EPI and it was pretty quick that he got better with the enzymes. Id maybe put a call into your vet if hes acting worse.

Well,we have our good and bad days,she absolutly HATES the enzymes,which makes her refuse to eat,so im finding things i can camouflage her meals with,but its not easy.Shes ok,but not great.Thanks for asking!

I have a very old mini Dachshund and shes got allergies real bad so I have to give her a tiny pill, my sister told to stuff it in a peice of hotdog wiener and it works so well this way, no stress for either of us, lol..

The enzymes are powder,and they have to touch EVERY piece of food,you also have to let them sit for at least 20 minutes to break down the foid.you have to be careful because they leave sores in the mouth and throat:/

How long has she been on the enzymes?   I was just wondering if maybe there's still time to get her use to them if it's just been a few days.  Keeping y'all in prayers

This is actually our second time trying,the first time she got horribly ill,so we had to try raw beef pancreas,and that didnt work either,so,we are on day 3 but waiting for a special antibiotic because the first one didnt do well:( We will get there,it just takes time.Thank you for the prayers,they are appreciated.
