I posted on another thread about this.  I don't know anything about them.  They are supposedly bad.

I sense this is a tactic to distract from the riots, cop shootings, and looting we are seeing almost exclusively in Democrat governed urban areas largely perpetrated by left wing extremist groups such as the Antifa movement and BLM.

I posted on my post about them.  They are western chauvinist.  They are multi racial, socially liberal and the KKK can't stand them.  Which says a lot.  They came together I think a few years back in response to Antifa starting out as an all male drinking group.

And yes they are a far right group but don't call them Nazis or white supremicist or they will sue you.

Tarro went on record condemning white supremicist and he said the Proud Boys understood Trump to mean stand down and let law enforcement do their job.

It is wild.  I by no means believe they are angels but they quickly get a bad rap.  They were holding a rally in August and the video clearly shows Antifa counter protesting and starting the violence. Proud Boys have stated they will not start the violence but they will defend themselves.  Tarro said on a video that all they had to do was show up in Portland and Portland would bring the National Guard thus restoring law and order.  So much truth to that.

They just sound like frat boy reprobates who love to drink and light their farts on fire.

There is a black woman who is a preacher, Bevelyn Beaty, who went to Chaz to preach about Jesus to the BLM and Antifa there. The a Proud Boys provided security for her and her people. She thought they were supposed to be a racist group, but they were really nice to her and she was allowed to preach without incident because they were there. That is what she posted on Instagram earlier this summer. That is all I know about them. Never heard of them before she spoke about them. 

They consider themselves patriots and defenders of America and its people.  The media has said the FBI has them labeled terrorist and extremist but they never have.  I think by being Trump supporters and by association the media has purposely tried to painting them that way.

But the media would have you think differently.  I have seen signs along with Trump flags at their gatherings that say we hate the left and racism which is their true achilles heel.

They are not racist.   They call them selves a beer drinking group with a Patritoistm problem.  I started following them this summer as I was curious and upset over the riots and BLM and Antifa.  From what I see they care about the country and have people from all ethnicisties in their group.  I just seen a video of a black man joining because he believed in what they stand for.    It is propganda that they are a white supramacist group.  I have also followed Rose City Antifa based in Portland.   Antifa is an orgainzed group to create chaos.   They are not a myth.  For the Proud Boys at the Portland Rally last week they did an opening prayer praying for everyones safety.  Even those of Antifa.   Prior to the rally they told anyone that does not come with love in their heart.  DO NOT COME.  Yet the Mayor of Portland did not want them there.  Hmmm...I wonder why?

They have also provided security for Brandon Tatum another black conservative.

I just searched Proud Boys on FB and got a warning about it being a hate group. I searched Antifa and got no such warning.

This is the first time I have heard of them.  Thank you for bringing them up.  I heard the term - I did not realize it was an organized group.

Th FBI has clarified their statements about Antifa that they are considered a violent extremist movement.

Only the media has the Proud Boys on their radar.

As a veteran the Proud Boys or any other backyard militia are jusf wannabea that never had the guts to actually serve in the military. The few that did happen to serve I'd really question their military record. 

If they are standing up and protecting the american people at riots they have the guts!  Doesnt matter if military or not we are all going to have to dig deep and stand up for what we believe!

So had to googled them to see.  But By Golly if they are willing to stand up for what they believe in by taking care of ones in harms way, I dont see a dam thing wrong with them, I dont care if they are a Pork and Beans army they seem to have the guts needed to protect.. I have found the good and bad on them in a few googles, so will look some more, but it seems to me they are really trying to protect the good from the evil, and I really want to believe this.. We need and I want to believe theres more good then evil out there. I will look some more when I get a chance too, Thanks Norma I will look more into them.

They have turned away from his beliefs and have for almost 2 years. I don't have a problem with that. They changed their core beliefs, they learned better. Organizations change direction all the time. Look at the Democratic Party in JFK's time and now. Now THAT is a huge change, too. For the worse. The Proud Boys changed for the better. Kudos to them. 

I truly do think they have changed ...... but that guy was a real "tool" and a hateful person.

Just curious about something.  Until after the debate, I hadn't heard of the "Proud Boys".  How many people belong to this group?  Are they widespread?  I've seen Antifa clad protestors and BLM protestors in person, but I haven't seen anything about Proud Boys.  I wasn't aware that a proud boy was responsible for the death in Charlottesville a couple years ago.  Have they killed anyone else?  Have they killed any cops?  Is there any evidence of them looting or burning buildings?  Do they have any well known chants like "Pigs in a blanket, fry em like bacon"?

Believe me.   Don't rely on wikipedia for information.   It is not something you can even quote or refrence when writing papers because it is unreliable.  

IF you are trying to point out MY link .... that was just the easiest one to find the info about the "founder" ....but there are PLENTY of reputable sites about HIM and his VERY racist views ..... That being said, he left the group in late 2018 ..... I was only trying to "educate", which, of course, is not possible here ......

I dunno.  I would have thought it was a group of singers like the Beastie Boys or the Beach Boys if I hadn't had to go look them up.  I had never heard of them either.  Chris Wallace extracted more "dumb stuff" in that debate.  

I've tried looking but all I could find was a smattering of things about them.  Some interviews don't sound so terribly bad.  Odd group of men.  They seem to relish the idea of ass beating snowflakes, anarchists, and rioters. They boast of having a lot of gay men.  I couldn't find much good evidence of them being racist.  The claim is they are "White Nationalists", whatever that actually is.  Their leader is black I guess.  Odd.

No, that is gay men using the hashtag #proudboys while kissing to make the actual proud boys mad as a way to get back at them and take over their hashtag. Looks like it worked in this case.

What I have seen is that the gays are wanting to take over the name of Proud Boys. This is what I found (The Proud Boy are furious that gay men have taken over #Proud Boys on Twitter) I have never heard of Proud Boys untill this thread. I did heard the word Proud Boys during the Debate but really thought nothing of it untill now, lol. But what I have been reading on the REAL Proud Boys I like having them on Trumps side. They are NOT a pansy group of men, like the Dem men are..

I don't know, but I saw a video of an interview with the leader of the Proud Boys and he said they are straight and gay men who are patriots, basically.  Honestly, I don't really care all that much.
