We just got a gorgeous daughter of Brookstone Bay out of a Vital Sign daughter. We are looking to breed her this spring. What are your opinions for the best cross on this kind of mare? We are looking to produce a barrel prospect, not necessarily a track prospect. Please help! How does a person research the best crosses on certain studs?

I would go with Jesses Topaz. He is a junior stallion that has been producing some super nice foals and he crossed very well on our double bred DFC/The Signature mare. He only had one foal running in the PB futurity this fall, but I expect big things from him!

A Cornerstone is a successful Brookstone Bay. He's out of a Lanes Leinster bred mare. I would start looking for a Lanes Leinster bred stud if she was mine. She's a pretty mare.

I'd breed her to The Goodbye Lane. He's proven the FDD lines with the Lanes Leinster make a good cross. And A Cornerstone proved the FDD, Brookstone Bay combo. Brookstone Bay crosses well I think on the Dash For Cash lineage. FDD is just my personal favorite of them. But thats the route I'd do if she were mine. Plus resale value on that cross would be really good I would think, I realize he has a higher stud fee. I don't know much about The Signature horses myself.
