What were your activity restrictions after having your tubes tied?

I had mine tied a few days after giving birth. It was much worse than the birth experience and my birth experience was a nightmare! I had to sleep on the 1st floor for a few days because walking down the steps was not possible, and I had weight lift restrictions, I think 10 lbs? But I didn't have horses at the time so that was nbd.

I had a double salpinjectomy (sp?)  two Decembers ago.  That's where they actually remove both tubes instead of tying them for complete sterilization.  I've never really wanted a kid.  My husband is same, thank goodness.   We said before we got married one or none, and the older we got, the more none was solidified.  Glad now in today's age...

The surgery was completely laproscopic.  Went in through my belly button and two low areas of my stomach.   Wasn't bad at all.  Went shopping the next day...Probably shouldn't have towards the end, but I survived.  On simply ibuprofen.    The good stuff wired the snot out of me.  Took some before bed the night before and couldn't sleep a wink.  Was MAD.  That was the only high powered med I took. Never took anymore other than ibuprofen.   I do have a high pain tolerance though, compared to lots of people I know, so take that into consideration.

I read a book through my tattoo.

I wish I had done the sterilization sooner.

Edit to add restrictions.  I think it was 10lbs for a couple weeks, which went out the window pretty quickly when I felt better.  No "quality" time for two weeks as well.

Thank you. I work as a brand inspector so restrictions of laying around, just aren't going to happen. I have ice clear off a tank and possibly hay to toss but I think my son will help as much as he can.

I have a high pain tolerance too, c sections with just Tylenol 3. Major hand surgery with the same.  My stomach doesn't handle the strong pain meds.

Going through the ultimate divorce from hell so quality time isn't a problem lol
