Location: Bastrop, Texas | I don't know. I've been told it's a good idea by my Democrat friends. Governor Cuomo got the idea rolling last summer in nursing homes, but the Obamunists have a better "final solution". In fact, they are building some new state-of-the-art facilities.

I know math can be hard for y'all, but history really shouldn't be, and neither should critical thinking. Any middle schools who would let you into their world history Zoom classrooms?

I don't want people to forget. The problem is that people are substituting delusions for reality, and that can be dangerous and highly offensive.

Nope not ashamed one bit. You can shove your liberal virtual signaling. It won't work with me. You are offended? Good. Read the wording of this proposed legislation. Use your limited imagination. This kind of thing scares the hell out of people. I'm glad you are offended. This is some Orwellian sh!t. This has absolutely nothing to do with your deceased relative. This legislation is baseless and will only add to the tragedy of this pandemic. Just to refresh your memory, we've done things like this in the USA in the past.....are you aware? If so, tell me.

So Dr. Scott - I was just thinking of you very much as my hubby read this new, uh, I have no word but the overused idiocy to me. Tell me, how are like minded people going to keep in contact if/when poop really hits the fan?? Our phones can be controlled, our online communications can be controlled, most cars are smart and can be controlled, and they've got businesses over a barrel on us meeting in the usual pubs, restaraunts, churches, etc. So HOW do we get in contact with someone who could legitimately lead a revolution?

What you are describing has a few assumptions that I don't necessarily agree with, but basically you are describing a doomsday scenario, of sorts, with widespread interruptions of communication, disabling of most motorized travel, etc... It's a little like what we've been told, in the event of an EMP attack where virtually everything electronic would be fried: planes, cars, trucks, trains, electrical grids, hospitals, TV and radio transmissions, most generators, pacemakers, insulin pumps, dialysis machines, and so forth. That kind of catastrophe seems extremely unlikely. I don't know how many vehicles can actually be controlled remotely. I know some can be disabled. Basically, you are asking me what would happen if we had a second civil war. I realized that increasingly people have been talking about it. I actually think that is unlikely, but I think what we would see is a kind of widespread outbreak of sectarian political conflicts. Liberal socialists are very concentrated in densely populated urban centers. I don't think they would do very well. Of course, that sort of thing would play into China's hands. I do think we can expect to see increasing instances of unrest. The leftist Antifa and BLM groups have been promoting it, and they had best be careful, lest their wish is granted. Scary as it may sound, but based on history, realistically I only see one thing that could actually reunite the vast majority of Americans,......war. Historically, wars have brought the country together. Even for the first 3 years of Vietnam, the country was actually very supportive of the effort. All in all, it's a sad prospect, when you think about it. The reality is that a war or conflict with China is an increasingly real possibility.....unless we surrender ourselves to them without a fight, and that might be why Joe Biden was the chosen one. None of these scenarios are very optimistic, I realize. The best advice I could give right now is to keep fighting the good fight right here at home, be prepared, and hope for the best, even though the divisions keep getting wider and deeper.

In the words of Joan Rivers....Oh please. Slowly and gradually, the liberals are working to make us all dependent on big govt. and with big govt., comes big control.

Location: Kansas | One of the more frightening videos I've seen since election day was a room full of Communist Chinese "leaders" totally giddy at the prospect of Joe Biden as president of the U.S. I believe a plan came together for them beautifully. A close second was a group of illegals forcing their way through a border crossing yelling "Joe Biden, Joe Biden."

Yes and no on all that. Yes, true end-of-world as we know it would be one extreme. But I'm talking about resistance or maybe something like a civil war level. With all the 'smart' technology there is nothing that can't be known of who we gather with and where. Or even what is talked about. Smart TV's listen, Alexa listens, phones listen and track, cars listen and track. Big Bro-ish stuff. Remember that I live almost dead center of politics and I am concerned with voicing my opinions in my area. I seriously do not speak to people except at my barrel shows! I'm not a paranoid person at all, but around here the libs outnumber conservatives in a scary way. I joke about having the cops called if you're outside, in your own yard, without a mask, but it has happened one county in and all the other counties directly touching DC. I'm only one county out from the center of the swamp! I doubt there will be an end-of-world scenario, but there's no doubt the USA is undergoing some permanent unflattering changes. I wish I understood who stands to gain from such a terrible recession, possible even a depression to make '29 look tame. Who gains from socialism?

Frankly, I don't care if you don't like the proposition. It sounds like it wouldn't go anywhere anyway, since it seems to go against a person's medical autonomy. What I do care about is the fact that none of you seem to know anything about the history you are trying to reference, which is incredibly frightening.

I only quoted this statement, but also in reply to your above comment, I again say "oh please!" You are a typical elitist, "woke" liberal. Please educate all of us 8th grade dropouts with your wisdom. Excuse me while I join my toothless, hillbilly friends on this forum to go smoke our corn cob pipes and play the spoons.

You mean those right wings protesters/Nazis who burn businesses, loot stores, intimidate home owners and burn the American flag........oh wait, that's Antifa and BLM, left wing groups. When you see violence at a right wing protest it's because left wing groups show up to spoil the party and hurt people.

So you couldn't answer my question, although you seem to be of the attitude that you ought to decide who is qualified to teach history to kids over Zoom. Let me assist you in answering that question you conspicuously ignored. You seem to like the proposition of whisking people off to detention centers. Do YOU like it? Would you vote in favor of this? If so, why? I asked you if we have ever done this before, and you completely ignored my question. I assume because your google search came up empty. I'll help you along.....yes, we have done this before. Do you know when? I won't hold my breath waiting for an answer. You need time to research more.

Anyone making Nazi salutes and wearing shirts with anti Semitic slogans is a prick. Pricks are everywhere. Incendiary speech, slogans, gestures, and symbols are ubiquitous. Nonetheless, free speech is protected. I'm guessing if you had your way, people would be punished in some way for using an unacceptable gender-specific pronoun.

Now you done ruined it. Of course that was a Democrat executive order (FDR) that put tens of thousands into forced detention centers (essentially concentration camps) simply because they had slanted eyes. Here's the deal though. What FDR did was he went along with the mob rule mentality back then. It's actually somewhat understandable, under the circumstances, but grotesquely unjust. Those Japanese Americans were loyal patriots whose sons fought as a segregated unit in Europe and became the most decorated unit of WWII. Since then, Japanese Americans remained loyal, hard working, and patriotic.
