Triggered by the theft of an election, then marginalized by the courts.

This is so sad but I so understand the frustration on the right.  Pelosi's latest move to change house rules to squelch the voice of the republicans is just another dig in an already festering wound.

Either or I am glad the right did not hesitate to come out and condone it.  All violence regardless who it is should be condemned.  However we need to reserve judgement on what went down and who did what, who instigated what, until we have all the facts. 

After all one of the witnesses to the shooting of the unarmed Air Force vet is John Sullivan the founder of the left-wing activist group Insurgence USA.  He is not a choir boy and new to riots.  He told Anderson Cooper he was not there as part of the protest at the capital and of course Anderson Cooper did not press him as to why he was there.  Sullivan is a Biden supporter that said this at a protest in the summer.  “We about to burn this sh*t down-we out here strapped-we gotta rip @realDonaldTrump out of office-we aren’t waiting til the next election; it’s time 4 a revolution.”

My niece is a retired veterinary living in the Villages in Florida.  She and her husband took a bus with other Trump supporters to Washington DC.   Her take on what she saw was people were there with backpacks who did not fit in and looked like trouble.  We may find out the assault on the Capitol building had more to do with a preplanned distraction from the subject of voter fraud, with the added bonus of being able to blame Trump.  Ignore all the left wing carnage from last summer and focus on yesterday from now on.

The election was not stolen. That's just the trump lie that led to yesterday. Yesterday was a riot incited by Trump. It is nothing short of treason and terrorism. Trump should be arrested immediciately. Barring arrest he should be removed from office immediately. There's more damage coming from this tratior.

And all because he lost the election. It wasn't stolen and the only reason people say it was is because trump keeps feeding that narrative. But abso9lutle zero proof of any such thing happening. 

Nor was it a surprise. Every poll from the beginning of last year showed that trump would lose. Leading up to the election even Faux News' poll was showing that trump would lose. Yes trump tried to cheat again like he did in 2016 but even he couldn't cheat time with the safeguards put in place. 

The blood of that lady shot and killed yesterday in on his hands. General Mathis said last spring this is what "immature" leadership brings us. Bolton said trump is "unfit for office". Thiese are republicans that were appointed to serve under trump. But I'm sure even they didn't see it coming to this. 

The man is starting and inciting a civil war. They fired the first shots yesterday. I can only pray that it's the last but that will only be the case if good men and women step up and do the right thing. 

Interesting, but sad, still.

The media really thinks we are idiots.  Granted, there are way too many people that follow headlines and are controlled by them. To watch people's live feed (barrel racers and otther horse people there :)   ) and see the unity, prayer, people from many nationalities singing the anthem and other songs and holding Trump flags and American Flags and smiling -- it was so awesome it could bring tears to your eyes -- news channels did not show tha!.  Like the title, they kept showing enormous crowds doing nothing, but standing and calling them rioters - Trump supporters.  I never saw them show any Biden supporters - that was strange.  All the focus was on the deplorables. 

Back in the Summer, I saw the news articles and read how great the "peaceful protesters" were - the next morning, I came to my office and heard how bad the chaos really was - damaged buildings - just down the street from us.  They would have been at our building if there wasn't a police standoff on the bridge.  They were not peaceful, but the media tells you they are - until they are Trump Supporters at the Capitol -- really, a lot of the footage seemed staged, I thought.  And you know they news already had their scripts ready - they knew what was going to happen.  The Capitol doors were already opened, letting people walk around inside, but the news only showed  them closed and a crowd at the door and something banging against it.. Bizarre.

You pretend to be in the know, regardless of the "Trump" topic of the day. You're the type of moron who would mistake your hand for a vagina.

So you accept that the political protest by the left over the years that more often than not turned into violence, burning, looting, destrction of innocent lives is on democrat politicians and specifically this year Biden.  The blood of the police chief and many more that was killed last year is on Biden.  The violence was never condemned by him or the media and is allowed to continue.  The recent riots over New Years by the leftist are not even spoken about.  It is like move on folks this is the new norm.  Nothing to get upset about, not worth reporting or speaking out against.  Don't call in the national guards we don't want to hurt their feewings.

We could do this all day long.  The civil war you have been speaking of has been brewing for years long before Trump.

There is plenty of blame to go around from both parties. There are extremest, frustrated people from both sides.  Then there are those of you that are so infested with TDS you push idiotic verbal garbage and refuse to see the bigger picture.  The fact that you are going back in time and digging up old political garbage out of the trash bin about Trump confirms you have it bad. Seek help or in a few years when you are still infected by TDS you will be living on Pelosi's streets of San Fran in a refrigerator box.  

I agree, this has been brewing long before Trump. Social media has put the cherry on top for trashing our society. However, even as a life long republican, I can see the further division Trump has created. He may have done good things during his presidency, but he has created a lot of drama. Our country has never been so separated. His tweets often place blame on others and breed hate. Unfortunately, many of his followers take what he says as gold. The people that follow Trump blindly and believe every word he says are the biggest sheep of all. I voted for Trump only because the alternative sucked, but I do not actually like the man at all. 

The media frustrates me the most. I don't watch it very much because it makes my blood boil. Yesterday, watching the news they were talking about the protesters overtaking the capital and how the police are doing the best they can to hold them back. Just a few weeks ago, during the BLM protest the news reporters were talking about how dare the police stop them and hold them back. Demanding for defunding the police. But, now that its Trump supporters its a good thing they are stopping them?

I don't agree with what happened and I belive it was wrong. I think the media is fanning the flames. 

I agree with some of this but I will also say that Trump did not single handly create the drama surrounding his Presidency.  A lot of reaction by him was spurred by the behavior of the likes of pelosi, the squad, shifty, nadler, waters, hillary, mittens, cnn, msnbc, fox, abc, etc. etc. etc.   I have never liked him and still do not like him.  Yesterday I felt when he called for a stand down he should have left out the continued narrative on a stolen election.  I have cringed at many of his tweets thinking he should have taken the higher road.

But what would his term have been like had we not had the huge, deranged opposition from the left we had to the 2016 election.  He was never given a fair chance to be any other than what he was.

BTW edited to add.  Show me where Trump targeted the Biden and Hillary supporters like the Trump supporters have been targeted by the media, Pelosi, Biden, Hillary, and the Obamas'.  They are tired of being called racist, clingers, deplorables, ugly folks, chumps, cowards, spineless enablers, etc.

I agree. Many hated him before he even started. People were tough on him undoubtedly. I wish he would have proved all the people who didn't believe in him wrong. Instead, he did the opposite sadly.

After the first year, it was fact checked that he had made 2,000 false or misleading claims. I know politicians lie, but a lot of people look up to him. This saddened me. That much misinformation is harmful. Most of our society does not research and/or fact check anything. When covid started, it was difficult to hear some of the things he said. I am on the frontline. My perception clearly would be much different than his. I think he did some good things for the pandemic, however most of my republican friends would not wear masks because the president wouldn't. Trump has a large influence on people. His behavior could have lifted our society, he could have been an outstanding role model. However, he acted very childish. Not just on social media, but also at the debates (both sucked I might add). I don't think Biden will bring us together either. Not sure what it will take to help us not be so hostile. 

I know plenty of republicans that do not wear mask but of their own accord not because of Trump. I am sure there are plenty of democrats that social distance and wear mask despite the do as I say not as I do governors, senators and speaker of the house. 

Trump is convenient to blame, hate and fake indignation.  Some should take the time to review history.  He is not unique in his behavior. 

I have never understood the devil made me do it mentality especially when bottom line, we are in control of our emotions and actions. 

I was speaking mostly about people I know who are antimask, thinking covid was a political hoax, etc. They are huge Trump fans and that was their reasoning. I'm sure there are many people, for whatever their reason, don't care to wear a mask. My point was just to show how influential this man is to many. It was just an example.
