just curious as a maintenance.  Not treatment(I would only use gastroguard) but just curious as a daily going forward?

Had a mare last spring that lost weight, became super nervous, paced alot, and had a dull coat.  I knew what triggered it so I knew it was ulcers.  She was given a zesterra lick tub as well as zesterra ulcer treatment for 2 weeks then put her on Daily Gold for couple of months.  She rebounded, gained weight back, and was back to her old self. For the price, I don't think you can beat it as I saw a major difference.   Right now she is out to pasture, stress free with no supplements doing well but will be going back on it when worked.

My horse impaction colicked on it. Took about 2 weeks. When vet did her exam , she pulled out clumps of what looked like the daily gold from his rectum. This has been about 7 years ago and just my personal experience that I had. I'm not saying it doesn't work , but did not work for this horse.

This is about the 4th time I've seen someone say that about this product... honestly,  I threw away my free samples after hearing a few stories.  I'm sure plenty of people have had better results but I just didn't feel comfortable using it.

I would try something like Stride Lifeline Plus or Succeed.  Both have proven results

Daily Gold contains montmorillonite clay which is bentonite clay, basically the stuff you buy in sacks to plug leaks in a stock pond.

While it's not toxic I wouldn't want to feed my horses anything that is used to plug a hole.

I hate to see this. I saw such good results with the two I bought it for that I put everyone on it and bought a bigger bag.

Is theirs Sodium Bentonite or Calcium Bentonite?  I wouldn't use Na Bentonite but Ca Bentonite has many good properties.

Y'all made me second guess the results I saw short term. I've read probably 500+ reviews with the only negative being some horses won't eat it. I have reached out to Redmond and will share any reply I get. I did call the local performance vet clinic and received a thumbs up on the product. He said when people have problems with the product, they have almost always gone off label with use. He did say I might should feed any other supplements at a separate feeding.

I know you didn't ask, but maybe look into Purina Outlast. I keep a couple of mine on it and I'm happy with it!

Obviously people have seen results. I had issues with it and won't use it. I basically had the same problem as Flitastic.

Speaking of Purina outlast , they now make an outlast horse treat. 5 treats is a serving of outlast. My horses love them and at TS they are 9.00 a bag.

tHis has actually been fed for years to help buffer the stomach BUT i woud never feed it dry. I mix with water using a non metal utensil and squirt in mouth. Best used at a consistency of mustard

I heard from the company. The product is fifty years old. I feel safe using it.
