Good morning all! Glad to be back. How many of us Chit Chatters are back?

You know I had to take a break for awhile but with all the unrest in the world I am glad to see old friends here!

Im a professional NON chit chatter but Ill try!

Soooo... hows the weather? It's gloomy and chilly here in my part of FL.

Glad to be back!! Life's changed around here. My kids are all grown up and moved out. I had my sixth back surgery and and feeling great now so am attempting to run barrels again. It's been a big change as I have no feeling in half my leg and foot big am having a blast with my friends. I bought back my old barrel horse that I sold before my fifth surgery but he isn't sound enough for barrels. Got my one of my daughters horses back but he kills my back to rode so he is now our sons. Have a OTTB that came from a kill pen but he has some old injuries as well so is a great trail horse. Thankfully I have a amazing friend who is letting me keep her mare here to run and if she ever wants her back I'll be heartbroken. I would love to buy her. Also have a houseful of dogs! 5 to be exact and one is the best Great Dane ever! 

Weather here in NM is around 30 right now. So far today looks wind and suppose to get to 50 today! We have had no moisture for ever. 

Iowa is boring this time of year.   

It's semi cold out, hovering around mid to upper 30s during the day.  We hit 45 the other day. Woo! lol Teens and 20s during the nights.  

We had a mix of ice and snow, so my lot is a disaster, so basically just trying to keep the ponies upright because now it's all packed down and 1/2 melty and refreezing.

Teaching this year sucks. Online is harder than in person, although we are back to 100% here minus a hand full of online kiddos.

I just got a new lab pup.  Her name is Kaiya.  My boys are not thrilled at 11 and 4 years old.

CO is beautiful today...before it gets nasty again  tomorrow. I'm about to run errands so I can get back home and work horses.

I found my next heart horse after losing Sidekick. I call him Naughty. He lives up to it on a daily basis. 

Did you chop of Dozer's body because the camera adds 10 pounds? I love your doggies!

Shhhhh..... your going to hurt his feelings!! He was trying to convince to not go to work and hold him all day. Sadly it didn't work. He was standing on couch looking over the wall into the kitchen. 

I got to meet Stacey and Hope plus two of the ponies a couple months ago!! 

Yes! You saved us from potentially ending up murdered in a dark alley or being sold on the black market by letting us stay with you! It was very much appreciated!

Good morning all! I had a  username change from P23Ranch to GinaMarie 

We sold our farm in KS, moved back to CA in 2012 -- believe me NOT by choice. But sometimes life just happens. 

Still married, going to be 25 years this year.  My oldest daughter graduated from Texas Tech in May 2020. She is finishing up her Master at Texas Tech and will be done in May 2021.

Middle daughter graduated from Purdue and is now starting Virginia Tech for her grad school.

My son is a freshman at Casper college and loves it. . . he is doing welding. 

We are really enjoying being "empty nesters"!!! Best thing ever!!

My gray horse, Traveler, passed away from colic in 2019. Very sad and traumatic. 

Got a weanling in fall of 2019. She is now 2 years old and I'm enjoying all those baby steps with her. 

Otherwise, everyone safe, healthy, doing life like everyone else. 

Glad to be back. Facebook, Twitter and news have gotten SOOOOO nasty lately. I pray for healing of our nation!!

Aww, more puppers! 

Ok, I give......................I found the very best confidence builder from one of our own BHW buddies.  He's been the best horse for me.  About 2 1/2 years ago I bought a neat little 6 year old, cause you know, he doesn't buck..........I was a bit leary to ride him because he would do a little buck here and there and was generally a kid.  Broke really well though.  Took him to his first race and he was an absolute mess.  The next year I was going to have my friend ride him, but, I decided that I needed to get on him and ride before putting her on him.  Well, lo and behold, he was absolutely wonderful!  Never once acted like he wanted to buck.  So, I took lessons from the girl I had put a few months pattern work on  him and was finally able to take him to a race.  I was scared to death.  She rode him around and did some exhibitions.  I rode him and he took such great care of me.  We did well, but no check.  The next race, not so well.  lol  He still took care of me and was for the most part great.  But, with Covid, not many races were happening around here.  I'm still with the CB and still have no grandchildren.  Yeah, I got old enough to be a Grandma.  I got my very first Corgi, and she is a Pistol.  I also bought my own place with 10 acres.  As of now, I'm working at home, which makes me really happy.  Hopefully it'll continue.
