For those of you that don't have fb how do you keep abreast of info in your area for equine events? Not sure about where you all live but in my area in Canada the vast majority of my barrel racing events are vis Facebook and if you aren't on fb you will miss a lot of info.  All the slot races in our area are fb only. In fact if you didn't happen to be on fb last week and see the a notification that you had x number of days to email to secure your slot for the coming year you'd lose your slot.  With all the censorship on fb, the latest being the banning of the the Trent Lose show I almost feel like a hypocrite being on a platform or medium that is so strong in their liberal views and censoring anything they disagree with.  I did sign up for MeWe and Parler and telegram but so far the equine world is slow to move off fb.

Why can't all this barrel racing info just go on website.  A "lot" of people are dumping FB because of censorship.

in my area Oklahoma alot of producers been using the sgp app? something like that.  I think it is also a website.  You can enter, and watch times as the event is going on and you can look at the draw.  I'm not sure if it does anything else.  I havent used it yet bc I been on the sidelines.

We have a great producer here in Tx called Go Fast. They have a website that every producer can put race info on. Also ebarrelracing.com has info about races around here.

I just signed up on Stall High a social media site for horses today.  I deleted all other social media.   I am not going to be a part of the censorship, surveilance, brain washing and division the main stream social media sites are causing.   I am looking forward to new thoughts and ideas on what people are using when they are dumping FB.

Well I no longer use Google because it seemed like I was getting bombarded with spam daily and whatever I looked up would flood my Facebook feed for days. I switched to Duckduckgo for searching for things.. so far I really like it and you can see where they are blocking Google when you pull up searches. I need to quit Facebook but I sell a ton of chicken eggs on there to local people so I almost hate to do it. Last week I think we sold close to 30 dozen and this week is looking pretty close to that.

Ryann Pedone recommended on one of her podcasts  "Outwitting the Devil" by Napolean Hill.   Its written in the 40's.   So pertinent to what is going on today with censorship, surveilance and control with social media.   I listened to it on youtube.   It really opened my eyes even more.  I use Duck duck go and deleted most of the apps off my phone.  Its freeing and I feel more in control of my thoughts and emotions and control what I want to see and read.  Anyhow back to the subject of staying informed.  You can look at alot of the public pages on FB without logging in

There was a post on fb that you can go to your fb settings and you can turn off where they advertise what you was looking for.  I cant remember the steps.  its like 3 steps and when you turn it off it will ask if you sure bc you will no longer see ads  something like that anyways.  It worked on mine.

I actually use duck duck go too now. Hade for awhile. Have also listened to Napoleon Hill "Outwitting the devil" mind blowing book. I listened on audio books. I'm hoping some of my events will start going more website but I know the small local ones won't. So will be stuck with fb for awhile. But hate supporting an app with so much one sided censorship
