Can someone PLEASE tell me what good hes done so far for our country,, I know theres a few that thinks he hung the moon so tell us all on here what hes done for the good of our country.. All hes doing is dividing us even more.. He just needs to shut the He** up..

I don't know.... has even been to Texas since all this craziness with the storm happened? I for one, don't want him here and couldn't care less if he showed up. But I know many who are anxiously awaiting their fearless leader to make it all better, along with those stimulus checks...

Well, he has completely fixed global warming. There are people who froze to death in there homes. A hospital in Oregon reported that they have no COVID cases at all so in a few weeks time he had pretty well wiped out COVID. That's a big help. The capital has been secured from all the protestors, rioters, invaders or anyone else who poses a threat.  I understand they are putting in a solar panel factory to have jobs for people who want to work. Everyone is getting a big stimulus check. I think he is getting it done. 

Scott, you are correct. This situation is a 25th Amendment Issue. Per The Constitution, POTUS is Commander In Chief (CIC) of The Military. Which entails The Nuclear Codes.

Now, it is my theory, that the The Nuclear Football (Nuke Codes) are NOT in Washington D.C.! They are in Florida! Events of January 20th 2021 and just maybe (I cannot confirm this yet) Febuary 15th 2021 support this theory.

Typical congress snakes.  They know that so long as they toss a few crumbs to the commoners they can pass an enormous, bloated $1.9 Trillion bill loaded with billions in handouts to people and organizations who will skim off millions to give back to their favorite politicians. But by God we don't care because we'll get our $1400 "stimulus" checks.  Over 70% of the public approves of this.  There isn't a dam bit of difference between Dems and Repubs when it comes to this.  This was what was predicted as the demise of our Democracy 200 years ago.  Trump is the only politician who hasn't benefitted personally from crap like this.

I would think that everyone should be concerned about the money to San Francisco for their transit program.  What does this have to do with anything?  And it hasn't even begun construction.  (If I am wrong about this, correct me).

My answer to this is as varied and "nuanced" (as Bear has noticed about me) as always....

1) If I was a Biden supporter - I wouldn't touch this question with a ten foot pole. (And if anyone is interested- I know the kinda creepy but cool backstory  for that saying). It is so OBVIOUS from the wording that the author is just looking for a fight/or a **** slinging contest. Not legimate or honest responses. Sorry SouthTexasPonyGirl, but you actually came out and said that in another post, so I'm just calling a spade a spade.

2) Any Biden supporter other than Jd & Ez is not so much looking for the fight or hassle of responding. They know the temperature of this forum and that they are waaaaaay in the minority.

3) Maybe they aren't happy with some of what he has done so far. Who knows? I totally supported Trump, but I didn't always like him and I didn't always want to publically defend his actions. Maybe that didn't make me a "true blue" Trumper. I prefer to think of myself as honest and true to my beliefs / personal ideals while still supporting the President. I have to allow that some Biden supporters might feel the same.

On another totally different subject - but one that this post has kinda devolved into - I may start drinking the Kool-Aid too. There are some weird things going on in politics these days.......maybe I was just being naive for just not wanting to see it. I thought I was a rational person....not a conspiracy theorist type at all.....but I see things changing that are really making me kinda scared.

You're right, but it isn't new.  This has been going on for decades, and both parties spend as much as possible, like drunken sailors.  Only a small fraction of this "Covid Relief bill" is focused on actual "Covid relief", whatever the hell that is.   The reason 70% of people support this bill is the $1400 check.  That's the mother lode and the secret to securing power and wealth for most elected politicians in DC.  Throw out a check....free money.....and pile on another $1 Trillion in pork.  If you don't think politicians don't benefit from this, I have shocking news for you.  The best way I can illustrate is to refresh people's memory about the 2009,  $900 billion Stimulus bill....a comparatively modest spending bill by today's standards.  It was supposed to be largely for "shovel ready jobs", remember?  (Later, Obama flippantly and callously quipped, "I guess those shovel ready jobs weren't so shovel ready after all.")  Solyndra was a highly touted "green energy" company that made solar batteries. Obama and Biden (yes Joe was actually actively involved) secured a half-billion low interest unsecured loan for the company, and the company abruptly filed for bankruptcy and locked its doors about a year later.  Solyndra executives, in the meantime, contributed quite heavily to the Obamunist campaign.  And, of course, there's the other potential paybacks so commonly seen in politics. Most of today's politicians can't resist the temptation to spend money we don't have.....the allure of power and wealth is just too hard to resist. 

The whole purpose of this thread is so that all you Trump haters and Biden supporters had a place to come to hate on Trump and tell us why you voted for Biden. And it seems just a little to be working. So sling all the poop you want over here, out of respect for marys thread thats why I started this one, I didnt want to say anything neg. on her thread, since she asked not to be any haters on her thread about Trump..But two did Trash her thread, I didnt want to add to it..

Pretty Boy, your hate and rage is palpable.  I get that.  You are not alone.  I must say that equating Trump to Jim Jones and David Koresh is a new twist, but the basics are the same.  Your deep seated malignant hatred toward Trump has not been over what he has actually done, and that too is typical.   You talk adoringly about what Jd&ez said about Trump in the other thread...but in point of fact, in the other thread he said very little.  He simply posted a C&P.   Speaking of the other thread, just to refresh your memory, you lambasted me and insinuated he did nothing for minorities, then you smugly asked me to enlighten you.....because, in point of fact, you were shooting from the hip.  I obliged and went through the trouble of highlighting what he did for minorities.  Your response: no acknowledgment, just crickets.   If you are going to jump in the ring and engage in heated political debate, you need to be thick skinned and better prepared, in my opinion.  If you can't be better prepared than what you've displayed, then I don't blame you for vowing to never get involved in political debates of any kind.

The best thing about Biden is that he is not trump. trump was the worst president of my lifetime easily. I would venture that he is the worst president in history but I will leave my opinion to what I've actually lived and witnessed.

Dividing us further? That is simply impossible. no one will ever divide America like trump did. he even had his idiots attack the US Capital. It doesn't get more divisive than that.

Pretty Boy, I accept that you simply hate the man.  I respect your willingness to admit you just absolutely hate him, even though you seem utterly incapable of what it was about his agenda that you don't approve of.   We've all felt hatred or intense dislike for people in our lives for reasons we can't always explain.  I've never looked at Donald Trump through a lens of friendship.  He's kind of a prick, but we needed that prick, in my opinion.  Most LGBTQ people dislike the man, probably because they harbor a similar inexplicable prejudice and hate.  There are some noteworthy LGBTQ people who are very strong Trump supporters like Rick Grinnell and Brandon Straka.

I think a focus on Biden's choice of Dr Rachel Livine as a health secretary appointee compared to Trump's choice of Rick Grinnell to his cabinet is extremely revealing, and it not only serves as a good way to compare the two presidents and their priorities, but it tells me how the two president look at their supporters.  If I were a Biden supporter I would be extremely insulted to think that he would appoint a health secretary to that position largely because of sexual orientation, rather than qualifications.  Skin color, gender, and sexual orientation are the most important criteria for his choices in politics, even though his record is steeped in grotesque racism, as I highlighted extensively to you in an earlier thread.  Racheal does not have an impressive record, but she is transgender, and political expedience tells Biden that is the most important.  In fact, from what I can tell she is not highly competent.  To my way of thinking, sexual orientation is totally unimportant.  Evidently President Trump feels the same way.  In the case of Grinnell, he is an impressive, tough, principled man with an impressive resume....who just happens to be Gay.   Race, gender, and sexual orientation was unimportant to Trump.  His appointees were selected because they were felt to be best qualified....period. Biden's appointees were chosen, to a large extent, based on superficiality and political expedience.  If I were a liberal, I'd be insulted.....in fact, many are.

Again, I think you are very wrong.  There are actually laws that protect older people from those who think like you.  It isn't Biden's age.  It's his cognitive ability that concerns people, not his age, per se'. In fact, there are dozens of Democrats who recognize this, to the extent that there is a push to limit his power as Commander-in Chief, particularly where access to the nuclear "football" and launch codes are concerned.  He's shot and everyone knows it.

The politicians have seen them.  Your average Dem voter who would not spend 5 minutes watching FOX or Newsmax were totally denied coverage.  Just like none of them were made aware of the Hunter Biden/China scandal or the fact that the "found" laptap shows Hunter fully engaged in child porn.  Mayor Rudy tried to point this out as a FOX contributor and was quickly silenced I assume for fear of a lawsuit.

Boy, the hate is thick on both sides of the aisle.  I am a Trump girl....do I want to be married to BFF's with him, nope, but I appreciate what he stood for from a political perspective and his no BS way.  Do I wish someone would have revoked his Twitter priveleges....absolutely, though many times he did give me a chuckle.  I do think he had too much trust in the wrong people, especially toward the end and I 100% believe the was an incredible amount of fraud in the election.  That being said, it saddens me to read many of these replies from both sides of the fence and to reference a trip to the "train station" for anyone who has a difference of opinion or openly argues....or pokes to get a reaction....is shameful.  Yes, I realize it was in jest (kind of), and I too am a Yellowstone fan, but come on....

I follow all of the conspiracy theories out there and even have my hopes up some are true.  Maybe they are, maybe they aren't.  What I do know is that regardless of what the future holds, all this arguing, name calling, and wishing ill will, even jokingly, toward someone with a difference of opinion is sad.  Arguing and blasting someone isn't going to change their opinion or help them to see a different perspective, of that I am sure.  

There are undoubtedly things that have happened since our new administration took office that sadden and worry me, not to mention the things that go untouched, such as the infamous laptop, the unaddressed human trafficking (and much more disturbing things), the double standards, race baiting, and cancel culture of literally everything.  It's an unbelievable time that i'm not willing to accept as the new norm, yet i'm also not willing to do exactly what they want and fall victim to the "divide and conquer through hate" agenda that is clearly being pushed.  

The two things I have tried to remember throughout this is to love God, and love each other.  We can have a difference of opinion and both be passionate about what we think is right and just without driving hate or being hateful.  We must all hold ourselves to the higher standard we want for our government and lead by example and by speech that is firm without being hateful.  We must get involved with our local politics and be part of the change we want to see.  Volunteer and get to know those in our local communities who share our beliefs for the future of our country.  I'm personally tired of the rhetoric from all sides, as there is never any resolution.  I intend to put my money where my mouth is and get involved.  No amount of hate filled speech or demeaning someone for their difference of opinion (no matter how wrong we may think their opinion or speech is) will push them to understand or see things the way we do, if anything it will push them further away.  Can we not have disscussions anymore with different perspectives anymore without hating on each other?  Yes, I realize in a debate things get heated, and that is ok, but when heated turns to hateful, it's disappointing. 

Get involved, get educated, get ready for the next round.  And pray that there is a way to ENSURE our elections are legitimate, as for me, that is the biggest concern at this point.

We all know that dogs have an uncanny ability to sense evil.  Some more than others, but all of us have seen examples of a dog's uncanny ability to sense evil, growl, and get it's hackles up around certain people.  I betcha the Bidens had to send those dogs away because they probably bit the sh!t out of liberals.

Watched a soundbite where he couldn't remember the name of his Secretary of Defense or that place called the Pentagon.  I think he ended up referring to "the guy in that outfit over there."

Tar sands oil is thicker, more acidic, and more corrosive and this ups the likelihood that a pipeline carrying it will leak. It was a threat to climate, ecosystems, drinking water sources, and public health. Since it first went into operation in 2010, TC Energy’s original Keystone Pipeline System has leaked more than a DOZEN TIMES. The shut down portion would have crossed agriculturally important and environmentally sensitive areas, including hundreds of rivers, streams, aquifers, and water bodies, including Nebraska’s Ogallala Aquifer, which provides drinking water for millions as well as 30 percent of America’s irrigation water. And would have done NOTHING to lower any fuel prices in the U.S.

Yes, it is currently being shipped by ship and railroad. However, there is a distinction between crude oil and tar sands (explained in my prior post), which they wanted to ship through the Keystone XL pipeline. 

Pumping that oil is not the best method of transportation. Railroads are better.

Tar sands are a form of bituminous petroleum.

To pump tar-sands oil it must be diluted and pumped at high pressure.

Pumping at high pressure causes heat build-up and increases the problem of leakage in pipelines.

Railroad transportation is better in that the “oil” is heated and loaded into tank cars where it solidifies for transit.

At the receiving end, it is heated to unload.

When the tar-sands oil gets to a port or refiner, it will go to CHINA, not the U.S.

We can pump all the oil we want and there will be no change in the price per barrel, since OPEC sets the price of oil on the world market, NOT America! 

Price will continue to rise since Russia supplies about 20% of crude oil on the world market.

No disrespect intended, but that is not actually how the economy works. The futures market controls price---this is why when Biden was elected the prices gradually started going up, even though there was no actual policy change yet. The futures market knew that there would be change---it is quite simple to get prices to come down, all that President Biden has to do is say that the y are " thinking about" ramping up US production and they are going to revisit the Keystone Pipeline---they do not even really have to mean it, but the prices would drop immediately because it would scare the speculators on the Futures Markets.

I will preface this by saying that I retired from the Compliance Dept of a Broker-Dealer so I am well aware of how the "futures" market works. That being said, it is somewhat more complicated than JUST the futures market..... the futures market is the "expected" price down the road but there are many factors rolled into the price of oil ..... GLOBAL supply & demand, weather, natural disasters, war, etc etc etc .... and it STILL boils down that OPEC sets the prices ....NOT the President.

I wonder how many of you were just as outraged in the years of 2007-2008 when the gas and diesel prices SOARED ...... and we had BUSH for a President.....was it HIS fault? 

OPEC does not set the prices--the manipulate the prices by raising and lowering their production, but they DO NOT set pricing.

I also agree that the President does not set oil prices but their policies are definitely a contributing factor.

You are "partially" correct ...... the price of oil fluctuates according to the factors of current supply, future supply, and expected global demand. Members of OPEC control 40% of the world's oil. Therefore, THEY do set the price of oil. The distinction is to the "WHY" (the factors listed above) of the price set by them. 

Edited to add: The first two phases of the Keystone Pipeline (TC Energy) are STILL up and running and moving "crude oil" .... The distinction that keeps getting thrown into the mix is the Keystone XL pipeline that was SHUT DOWN .... THAT portion was to ONLY move the dirty tars sands for EXPORT as explained in previous posts ....... it would NOT affect oil production or gas prices.

Again---OPEC does NOT set the prices, they manipulate the market how they please by adjusting production. They do not say---this week oil is going to be $ 100 a barrel---the markets set that price driven by the Futures Market which is driven by all the outside factors that you listed.

The scariest thing should be the fact that this administration is asking foreign leaders who are known dictators to sell us oil.  Venezula and Iraq.  And using nuclear weapons as bargaining chips.

Should we be asking the oil companies WHY there are over NINE THOUSAND unused approved drilling permits? or WHY they have not increased their productivity? 

I think sometimes these things are a matter of perception---just because a lease has been granted on Federal land does not necessarily mean that there is oil there to be drilled for. A lot of time and testing has to go to that determination.

If you listened to something besides CNN and MSNBC, etc .....you would know the answer....instead of this democratic talking point...

As stated by others. Just because there are permits doesn't mean they have 109% go from the government. It means they have a permit. Then they have to do test drilling , environmental studies etc etc.  It isn't a get a permit and start. At any point if the studies a show any one thing out of order - like a green, crossed eyed, one legged frog lived there, the government pulls the permit.

 So stop using that line and do some research.
