| Tell me what you know about financing a LQ trailer. I am talking about a used 3-4 horse with maybe around 8ft short wall. Nothing big or extravagant. My husband ropes and now that our kids are 7 I am getting back into barrel racing so we are on the road a lot. We just need something to keep the kids comfortable and just make the long days/nights a little easier. Do we just go to our credit union or is it best to go through a dealer? Do they finance them as auto, camper, or just a personal unsecured loan? How long do they typically finance them for? What do the interest rates look like? Our credit is average so it's not wonderful but not terrible either. I just don't know if it is even a possibility for us and hate to start looking without having any idea. |

| You can go thru the dealer or bank... whichever will give you a better deal. Just depends. So, if I were you and was planning on spending more than a few weekends a month at ropings or races, I'd get something larger than an 8ft SW. especially if you have kiddos tagging along... I think you can find something within your budget that'll give you more space in the long run, it'll be worth it! On our last purchase we went thru the dealer ... they got us the best financing... we have average credit too, BTW... not terrible but not gold either... we've been very pleased with our trailer and the financing company we went thru.. I just pay a little extra every month on it. Merrick bank is who we used to finance our trailer, they specialize in horse trailers and recreational purchases. Good luck and happy horse trailer shopping! |
