Currently feeding Triple Crown Senior Gold, but been looking at Tribute feeds. Does anyone perfer one over the other. I'm leaning towards the resolve with Tribute.

I personally love tribute and have converted the majority of my friends to it as well! Lol I fed the growth to my yearling and loved it, now she's on kalm n ez and my mare gets the essential K ration balancer. I can't say enough good things about tribute! I've never had any issues and they use one mill for all of their feed which I also appreciate because that cuts down on recalls and other issues.

May I ask why you are wanting to change from the TC gold Sr. ? I just ordered 2 bags from my feedstore for my new guy.. that was suggested by the TC nutritionist for his needs.  I like the higher calories in it. And it seems, by the label, that it has a pretty nice analysis.

I was going to ask this same question, lol. Just curious as to why you are wanting to change feeds FloridaPriss. Not trying to be a smarty pants just curious . I use the Triple Crown Lite on my IR gelding and really like it for what its done for him. I like the fact thats its milled by BlueBonnet

1800 calories p/lb is what I really like. Let me see if I can share the chart the rep sent me this morning.  I'm really liking the Gold line balancer for my easy keeper so far. But this particular horse needs the extra calories, at least for now till we get him back to where he should be, condition wise.

Oh yeah, to the OP,  have you done the feed comparison tool on Triple Crowns website? They have a bunch of other feeds listed you can compare their feed to, side by side. Pretty neat little tool.

Hey all! My mare can't tolerate alfalfa. She was on renew gold for awhile and stopped eating it. There aren't many feeds in my area. I went ahead and put her on TC since the nsc was low and hoped she wouldn't have issues, but its not working for her. The tribute is available about 30 min away from me and they have an alfalfa free mix.

I was just wanting to get some feedback on Tribute since I haven't heard much about it in my area. Don't get me wrong I love TC just have a special needs lol

Gotta love those picky horses! Lol! Have you tried TC low starch? It's alfalfa free. I just started seeing this be carried in TSC. It may have always been there, the low starch, but I just noticed it the other day. I wish TSC could start carrying the Gold line as well. I was disappointed yesterday when I went to my feedstore and they told me they had the Gold Sr. I paid for a few bags and went to the loading dock to pickup and the guys told me they actually didn't have any in stock till next week.

Triple Crown does have a Alfalfa free feed its the Low Starch, go to Triple Crowns web site and they have a video about their feed, go to the Low Starch and click on to that video, they are so easy to understand

I had a horse that wouldn't eat the 30% balancer either! Super annoying when you spend $25+ on a bag of feed then they won't eat it! Thankfully,  my horse that I have on the Gold balancer isn't the least bit picky ... because those pellets smell extremely bland to me. Especially compared to TC sr or the complete. I really like the complete too but it's just a little too much for my easy keeper. He's gotten over his "hangry" moods now .. he's only getting 1 to 1.5lbs a day of the Gold balancer plus maybe 2 cups of alfalfa pellets.
