Anyone know which model of Sundowner frames that were affected by the powder coating? I am guessing of course it was the aluminum on steel, any particular model or year?
Mine was a 2005, it is pretty obvious when you look at them. Visible areas of the frame have black coating on them, most will probably have areas peeling off with lots of rust underneath.

Thank you for the responses. I looked at a used Sundowner and thank goodness my husband crawled under the trailer and looked at the frame. Can't believe a little old lady didn't disclose this. She said she was selling it due to health and needing a bumper pull. I have researched the issue but it never really gave me a clear idea of what trailers were affected.

The little old lady probably didnt know she had a Sundowner that had a faulty undercoating, like most little old ladys we dont go crawling under our trailers much now adays.
Glad your husband found the rusty frame on this Sundowner. My sister was planning on buying a used Sundowner and same thing the frame was a mess. It was a older lady that owned it to and she had no ideal that the frame was a rusty mess.

She did. Her health was just fine and after she unloaded that gooseneck, her story was she needed a bumper pull because her health did not allow her to hook up a gooseneck, she bought another gooseneck.
I am a little old lady - 67 and if my husband is not there to crawl, I crawl.
