| Hi there! im completely new to the horse transportation as a business world and have a few questions. I am likely going to be going out to southern California from NM in a couple weeks with my three horse gooseneck and was thinking since it'll be empty I should see about hauling other people's horses to make a little money. I know that a Coggins and health cert. will be needed for the horse, but what about any waivers of liability or contracts for my good? Also should I take payment before or after the horse gets to the destination? Wanna make sure I would be doing it right. thanks! |

They may cover you and yours or others hauling with you, but may have a clause that will not cover you if charging a fee (business vs personal). Just something to consider. |

You are crossing state lines so you will need a health card and CDL licence. You will need commercial cargo insurance as well as commercial vehicle insurance. I would not do it. |

| Nothing new here. Everything is as usual: the horse's passport with vaccinations and fresh blood; permission to export a horse; Russian veterinary certificate; import or transit veterinary certificate of the country of entry or destination; notification of the veterinary service at the border of entry into the European Union; documents confirming the value of the horse; customs declarations or Carnets. |
