Location: Kansas | I saw where a bridge washed out and cars/trucks just kept coming and dropping off the abyss. Two were killed, several injured. What nightmare does this remind us all of several years ago with barrel racers who were killed. |

Gail was helping by hauling Futurity horses of Kay Blandford's back home from the Old Fort Days Futurity. Maggie was helping Gail do some driving. |

Can't believe I forgot all those names but I surely do remember how awful it played out. Thanks for the brainpower. |

That was a tragedy that just kept on coming. Maggie's husband Ray was killed in 2014 by his second wife. She supposedly married him for the insurance settlement for Maggie's death. |

that was on hwy 26 near Lucedale MS. I heard it was a washed out part of the road but either way it was nighttime and horrid. |

You're right. On watching it a second time, part of an elevated road washed away. I also saw a picture of a poor cow still alive hanging in a tree. Folks were working with a chain saw to get her out. If she had a calf I would imagine it drowned. |

Yep it's all about climate change and a huge budget. One relatively small country like the United States, if we all drive electric cars (which all the batteries will come from China), no more forest fires, no more drought, no more flooding, no more freezing cold winters. China and India are two of the filthiest countries in the world.......no need for them to be in the equasion if Americans make all the sacrifices. |

| Laura hit us hard last year, but thankfully we were spared this time with Ida. I feel for our neighbors in the SE portion of the state. Lots of folks coming together to send supplies and things down that way. One thing I can say for Louisiana, is we all know the hardships of these storms and everyone is always very willing to help one another during these times. |
