Location: Idaho | So, I have a horse that sweats during our work outs, obviously! When I cool him out he is left with white dry "salts" where he sweated. Now, I realize he is losing electrolytes and one of those is salt. But I've never noticed this on any of my other horses, nor have I noticed it n him until recently. He is in very good shape, and isn't heavily sweating during our work outs. He gets grain but I'm wondering if I should be more consistently adding electrolytes or extra salt to his grain. He has access to a salt block. Thanks!
