Would this deter you from buying a horse?  He just had his first coffin injection was just a little off and it significantly helped him.  Older horse and still clocks well.  Fine with hocks just haven't dealt with this one before.  Thanks

I think it would depend WHY they are getting injected.

Does he have specific shoe'ing needs?

Are there navicular changes on the xray?

Has an ultrasound been done?

etc. etc. etc.

 

With that said, 2 of my current 3 horses need their coffin joints injected. But front feet problems stink.

As someone who lives in an area where good farriers are almost nonexistent, yes, it would be a deal breaker for me. Of course, it would also depend on what I wanted the horse for and how much they wanted for the horse. It would have to be a sweet deal for me to not walk away.
