My husband is most likely going to have a fusion done in his spine in the coming month or two. It's a little but newer procedure that looks almost like a "shock" that's been put in. My question is to anyone who's had a fusion done...how long was it before you could a) ride and b) run again after surgery?

I have had 2 fusions done. They were done within 2 weeks of each other. I was back riding at the 4 month mark once my surgeon gave me the ok. I was running the easier of my horses soon after. 

Very interested in the responses as well.  I am facing the same in a few weeks and am curious too about recovery.  While I will absolutely follow dr's order, I am DYING to ride again.
