What is a Katniss? 

It was Brittany Pozzi's NFR/pro rodeo mount. She passed away 

I googled Katniss but all that came up was a character from the Hunger Games. 

So sorry to heard that Brittany lost her horse.

I heard that Teton Ridge bought Katniss...maybe right after the NFR. I'm glad they let Brittany keep riding her. I hope someone had embryos.

Her name is still on the papers so far, but who knows. I would think if they bought her they'd have pulled some strings to get them changed by now, especially if they had embryos 

Teton Ridge bought Birdie. At least according to the barrel racing report issue in December with the NFR qualifiers. 

Yes - I understood they bought Birdie. 

How tragic though, she was such a cool mare to watch.

There is an article by BHN on Facebook but it doesn't say what happened. Anyone know?  

No but i have a feeling most of us will never know. It's sad she lost 2 great horses recently
