Been doing a lot of research on bloodlines, and i was looking on past posts regarding FG bred horses. Some people were saying they were difficult to keep sound and swore by cow bred horses - ie decendants of playgun, other big names, etc. That said, this question is not completely regarding only FG bred horses, if that makes sense ??

I am thinking of purchasing a cross - as in, half running bred and cow bred. 

Do you find cow bred horses easier to keep sound? Which excel in the barrel pen?
