Location: The Lone Star State | I have an Eddie Stinson foal coming in February so I need to be thinking about who Im going to breed my mare back to for next year. I was going to breed to The Goodbye lane but gheez he is now $9500! She is an own Daughter of Dash for Perks out of a Sugar Bars x Leo mare. I have been looking at Blazin Jetolena, French Streaktavegas, MP My Goodbye Stings. Photo below was her last year 3 weeks before she foaled, she is short backed so would like something that would help reach and stride. |

Location: Illinois | You'd get your money back easy with that $9500 TGL still, they're selling well. Its just the upfront costs. Dash For Perks is one I definetly would put a lot of run on, something like JL Dash Ta Heaven. He would put a little bit more length in there in the back and the speed. BJO would be fine, but probably won't help much to lenghten the colt out, he's pretty compact but they can run. MP Sugarey or Kiss My Hocks himself would be an option. I personally wouldn't want to add more DFC to the mare if it were for me, but that's just me. I don't like multiple appearances of bloodlines, especially that close up on the papers. So I'd find something not DFC if it was my own which nowdays is a challenge, but thats up to you. I'd stick and Epic Leader in her. Whatever you pick will sell either way |

Location: Montana | NICE mare! I have a son of DFP and one of the mares he crosses best on is from Eddie Stinson's female family. Just in case you weren't excited enough about your upcoming foal. ;-) Another mare he crosses great on is a daughter of my TB son of Seattle Slew. I mention that to say that DFPs really can take a lot of run in the pedigree and keep a good mind. So if your goal is a colt that can win against the tuffs, you should look at racebreds that don't have too much crazy in their pedigrees. My stud's winningest daughter so far is out of a FWOTR mare. I'm going to try someday to breed a daughter of my stud to Guilty By Association. But of course, first, define your goal. |
