Does anyone run their horse on Lasix even though NEVER has been any signs or suspicion of bleeding?

I know a lot of people that do. I personally do not.

I have started. I don't have a ton of horses but I believe by my own *research* (re observation) I see people that don't believe in Lasix per se; and their horses seem to fizzle out or pick up bad behaviour seemingly out of nowhere. They don't fire or appear to love their jobs much.

I also had one do the same fizzle out through the year when they had been perfectly fine. Never ran on lasix.

IMO mitigating the risk of bleeding on an above average caliber of barrel horse outweighs the negative affects of lasix; pending proper protocol and maintenance. I have felt like I have had less *trouble* since incorporating lasix across the board. Also think there are SO SO  many silent bleeders.
