         Location: North Dakota | I don't think it's the right decision for every barn, but if you can afford it and your horses can eat cubes then go for it. It is technically long stem fiber so shouldn't cause any digestive issues. My only hangup would be alfalfa is very rich hay and high in calcium so you would need to maybe do an alfalfa/timothy blend cube or something else to make sure horses aren't getting too chunky and are getting enough phosphorous. |
