I have a push type horse who is not a barrel hitter and is very consistent but I am not a push type rider ??

he can run, my daughter has no trouble with him. What are some tips I can do to help me get the run. I really like this horse.

You could try breezing him out a few times if you have a safe place to do so.

Personal opinion ... a person either rides aggressively (push horse style) or they are a quiet rider (free running horse style).  Very few people are able to transition between the two.  Trainers are usually able to do this but I feel the average person has a hard time doing so.

Does he hit with you? Does he lose time setting up early? Does he just not run at all?
