What do you find more beneficial when feeding round bales in the winter? I am trying to decide between a large round bale hay net and a round bale feeder.

We have both, attached a round bale net to the round bale feeder. Put out a bale, take the string/netting off and flip the feeder with the net over the bale. Easy peasy.

Thank you!
Both. I use a Hay Chix large round bale net (6 foot) with the livestock size holes, and then I put an old fashioned metal horse hay feeder around it.
I have one horse that wears shoes on his front feet all year round, so you need to have a feeder to prevent their shoes from hooking the hay net.

Both are amazing and have benefits! I work for Texas Haynet, and I'm partial to our 3" hole nets. The nets help conserve so much more hay than the rings, but I definitely wouldn't want to feed in nets on large rounds without a bale ring, although lots of people successfully do so.
