Because of the shooting that happened at the universary of las vegas today. Our country has been threatened by humos or however you spell it. Last night on the news we saw where the FBI found a letter written by a guy in vegas who said he was going to take out people. He did it today. This is scary and serious stuff. Prayers for everyone at the NFR, the people compeating, the animals and the people that came to watch and everyone involved in putting on the NFR including all the people who live there. Horrible and scary times we live in. It's real. Don't think it isn't. 

I haven't seen any news coverage of what happened, yet - just a headline that first round was canceled. Earlier in the year, I heard rumors that Vegas would be attacked (not by shooters, but the whole system that is Vegas) and I was wondering how that would happen and if NFR would be affected.  There was bed bugs, then strikes, and now this. Definitely prayers for our Rodeo family and all involved.

From what I've read the shooter had applied for a job at UNLV and was not hired. 

I just seen that the first round will be Friday, and the make up round will be Wednesday December 13th at 10am but there will be no public access to that perf.

Extremely high levels of threat for terrorist attacks........10 to 12 thousand coming across our Southern border every day from every country in the world, mostly military age men.  Hopefully tons of Security at Thomas & Mack.  We should all be viligant.  We're being invaded.

Sounds like the guy was just a crazed, disgruntled job applicant.  Still just look at how many people suspected a terrorist who walked across the southern border.  There's a good reason for jumping to the conclusion that the shooter was a terrorist.  Hundreds of people on our "terrorist watch list" have been stopped at the border......and that's just the ones we stopped.  Surely, many more times that amount have crossed the border undetected.
