I have a 12 year old horse that has arthritis in all 4 of his feet above the corinet bone area he is lame on 3 just got his feet done the right way.....  Have looked at various supplements just dont know what might work for this area never really heard of it.   Does anyone have experiance or know of anything that will help or do we just put him down..... Purchased him this way so someone knew and dumped him purchased sight unseen so I would have never bought him if I would have known...... My son was really excited now I might have to tell him that we are putting him down.. Any info would be appriciated

There are no joints in the coronet bone area. There is a joint in the fetlock and two at the pastern. Arthritis is only in joints. The only thing that shows up in the coronet band area is ringbone. There are lots of treatments for both, but knowing for sure what and where will help know how and where to treat.
