Own son - gelding. Who has experience with one? Temperament ok or run hot? Trainability?

I have a 5yo filly. She is 110% perfect in all ways. Willing, super friendly without a bit of disrespect, athletic, coming along very nicely on the pattern (2D and 3D open times so far), easiest horse in the barn or on the trailer. She's getting to know when it's time for business, but not really hot, just ready. Her only quirk is she is an escape artist with just about any fencing. Doesn't go anywhere and easy to catch, loves to visit all the other horses is all.
