What is your opinion on  show producers giving out your name and phone number to the host hotel of a show?
Then they call you up and ask you why you are staying with them and then invite you to "come and party with them at their bar"??????

Obviously our names were sold or given to this hotel...   Do you now need to request our names to be withheld from mailing lists that are given out????

The phone call was basically this is the Fifth Seasons Inn... WE are the host hotel for the D&G in Amarillo, TX and we where wondering why you weren't staying with us?
Well we have a & LQ Trailer.
Their response was oh well it seems that this is everyone's excuse.  Do you have a bar in your LQ? Because we have a great bar and you need to come on out and party with us!  We will even give you a special room rate.

  I would sure contact that show producer and give them hell!  That could be dangerous!

I wouldn't be happy either with the call....but free drinks hmmmm!

Even I wouldn't call anyone at 10:00 at night to invite  them to my bar! Geez the nerve!

I would think this is illegal for D&G to be doing. I would make sure they understand this is never to happen again.

They also ask for your Social Security number as well as your  phone number on the entry form.  Did they give that too?? 

Why do they need your Social Security number?? 

I'd e-mail Mr. Goosetree and Mr. Dunn and give them an ear full. 

That is one of our fears too!!!

Did these people get a copy of the entry form with sensitive information on it?

If they are a host hotel, then put that information on the entry form and flyers!! As a host hotel, are they giving a discount on room rates??? or just using the bar for inticement?  I tell ya', something smell's and it ain't my feet!

SG do you have caller id?  did the hotels name come up?  Could someone be playing a prank?could you call the hotel and ask them if this is normal to solicite business?  did you get the callers name to check and see if he even works there?

That is absolutely crazy!!!  I can't believe they'd even use their bar as a method to get folks to stay there.  What if you were a recovering alcoholic?? I'd say this is a job for the PICKLE and the sponge monkeys!!!!

That's why I always pay with bogus cashier's checks from foreign countries.  (that's a joke no-one call the FBI on me)

Oh yes. I worked in Hotel management for 14 years and the owner of the hotel was very proud of Happy Hour. It was pushed as a selling point! I would never suggest anybody to work at a hotel, especially management! 24/7 YUK!

Back to the point. I would be extremely upset if D&G gave out my info like that. Give em hell & let us know their explanation!

Probably since they are the host hotel but who knows......

WAI....there's a kid in my class that can imitate the Monkeys' song PERFECTLY...he had us all cracking up today...then I had to make them get BACK TO WORK!!

we were told they didn't know anything about it...
They gave the list to the host hotel so that the host hotel would know who was real contestants....

When we went up to Colorado Springs last year, we had a number from Rocky Mountain Super Race to give to the host hotel to get the reduced rate. 

Seem's to me the hotel over stepped themselves by calling the contestant's.  If the show producer's aren't going to say anything to the hotel, I think I'd take it up with higher management.
