Went out to feed the horses this morning and they were doing the usual hanging their heads over the fence and whinning to me to hurry up.  My older gelding that foundered in December pins his ears and spins away from the fence and starts rearing up, jumping and kicking out like he used to when he was in the big lot playing with my young gelding.  It really scared me at first cuz I thought he was going to stress his front legs and set back his healing.  I climbed into the pen he is in and he started chasing me and jumping and kicking out like he wanted to play.  I started talking to him and told him to settle down and he came to a dead stop and snorted at me.  It has been 14 weeks today that he foundered and I am just so tickled that he is feeling good enough to play like this again.  Sorry so long but just wanted to give an update and share my happiness.

It is great to see!!!  I know we are now one step closer down the road to recovery.  It has been a long 14 weeks - especially the first 8.  I get to start hand led walks with him now and start slowly working him back into some activity.  There was a point and time when I didn't know if my trusted friend would ever recover.  I thank the Lord daily for his continued healing and recovery!!!!
