I found a canker sore in my horse mouth. Only one but I have read that might be herpes. I went to Lynn Mckenzie's clinic and without me even telling her about the sore she said my horse looked like he had herpes. He was very sore and she said he had all the classic signs. So I have started him on the silver lining herbs for herpes and the #24 Immune booster. But my question is this......Is this a new strain of herpes because everything that I have read on the internet doing a google search about herpes in horses talks about respiratory trouble and coughing. My horses doesnt have any of those symptoms. Also...if I am treating him for herpes....should I also have him on lysine?

How come you can find anything about soreness in horses being caused by herpes? And SG.....do you think I am giving him the right combination of silver lining herbs or should I add lysine?
