Location: Oil Center, OKLAHOMA, USA | OH MY GOSH!! I just found out that we have tickets to the final four in San Antonio. The only problem is that I have heard that the nearest motel rooms are in Austin. I was hoping that some of you Texas folks could help me out!! Is there a smaller (nice) town north of SA that might possibly have a nice motel? Nothing fancy - just CLEAN!! THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!! |

Come to think of it... staying in a "horsey" B&B and going to watch my Cowboys in the Final Four would be kinda like heaven... Do you suppose they would think I was weird if I ended up in the barn doing their chores? |

I don't know how much my HUSBAND would be willing to spend. I'm sorta cheap. I think we should just pull our trailer down there and park in the parking lot and fire up the generator! That's what all of the old rich folks did at the Alamo Bowl when we went to it...  Imagine that, can't you just see us in our LQ trailer parked out there in the parking lot!! They don't call O-State the COWBOYS for nothin'... |

I am here in SA (only10 mins from alamodome) ..If you would like you can drag your trailer and hook up at my house (I have a small house or you could stay in the house ) ... or I can start calling hotels for you ... I will call the ones around town that may not be full! |

I would, however, appreciate it if you could call some hotels for us OR just give me names and numbers of some hotels (in the good part of town) and I could call myself. When we went to the Alamo Bowl, we stayed right on the River Walk where the team stayed. It was AWESOME, but we are getting our tickets so late that I'm sure that is not possible. I just don't know SA well enough to know where to begin... THANKS! |
