Location: never in the right place | All your prayers have seemed to help numerous people so I would like to add one more. Kappie Nelson former NFR qualifier was seriously hurt in an accident in Tampa Florida on Sunday night. She was going to the airport to pick up semon when the traffic stopped and she had no time and slammed into the rear of a semi. I don't know many details but her boyfriend had 2 broken arms, she has a broken jaw and head injuries I don't know what else. They did plastic surgery on her face but she is still in a coma. If anyone in Florida know anything else please let me know. Thanks |

Location: Texas | I spoke a short time ago to the friend I will be staying with in Ocala next week and she told me about the accident. IT seems Kappy wasn't wearing her seatbelt and was ejected out of the car underneath the semi truck. She has swelling on her brain and I believe the coma was induced by the Dr's. We are keeping Kappy and Jody in our prayers and if I get any further news I'll pass it along. |

Location: never in the right place | Got an email from my friend in Ocala. Kappie was driving her daughters SUV and was not wearing a seat belt. She was ejected and landed on her face and head. They did surgery to repair her nose so she could breathe, has broken jaw and facial bones, and swelling in the brain. She is in a coma (induced or not I do not know). Her Fiance has 2 broken arms and a broken leg. The car was crushed like an accordian according to Jody. Jody is staying in Tampa and family and friends are running the farm. I have only known her a short time, but she is just the sweetest lady and Jody and her are very close. I would have been down there this week, as my horse is at her place, but due to my Moms health I could not go. Keep the prayers coming. |

Location: never in the right place | UPDATE AND CORRECTIONIt seems that Kappie is improving, still on ventilator but responsive to questions. They tried to take her off but she can't breathe deep enough, and they don't want her to get pneumonia, so they will leave it on her for now. She has bruised or broken ribs don't know. The correction is that she was NOT thrown from the vehicle, the air bag kept her from being ejected, but her face hit the windshield, the car accordianed and she had to be cut out with the jaws of life. She will be out of ICU when they can take the ventilator off. |
