Location: I'm lost - please tell me, I'm not on BHW again!!! | Thank you guys so much, it means a lot. He was our child. My husband and my life revolved around our two kids (yes both chihuahua's). Peanut was our oldest he was 6 years old. He was so sweet and loving. I can't imagine him not being around. I'm crying as I type. I know he's in a wonderful place now, but it still doesn't make the pain go away. I had to see it happen lastnight and I was the first one too him. That played in my head all night long. I'm sorry I just keep going on and on but I'm hoping getting it out will help me feel better. I sure do appreciate everything you guys do for me. Thanks |

WAI- In 94 I had a beloved pup fall out of my truck, then get dragged, then we ran over him with the daul wheels .... GOD it was horrible ... I loved my zach so much and because he was a little dirty I didn't let him in the cab of my truck - I caught him as he was leaping into the window, bless his heart, maybe he knew something I didn't - anyway that played over and over in my head for years. I still feel guilty for not letting him in the truck!! I know that this is not a "good" story but just to let you know that it's normal and I soooo feel for ya! think of the times you had and who knows maybe one of the little corgis will pick you! xxoo |

Location: I'm lost - please tell me, I'm not on BHW again!!! | Thank you. They really do touch a place in your heart. It's funny how much a part of you they are. Oreo his brother was looking for him all morning long. He didn't understand why his brother wasn't there. He looked all through the bed and his blanket on the floor for him. It was so sad. I think that broke my heart even more. I sure appreciate everything. At least now I know he is in heaven laying in the warm sun relaxing, his favorite thing to do. Dollbaby, thank you but that did make me feel better, at least I know that accidents happen. |

| Although I dont know what happened to your pup, but yes ACCIDENTS do happen. I dont usually get attached to the barn cats at our place, but I had one special little calico kitten, she was a doll. Truck Stop (my boyfriend named her) didn't like anyone but me and I loved that little thing, she followed me everywhere. Last summer she was sleeping underneath my Dad's semi and he ran her over. I was so sad, but I think my dad felt even worse. Truck Stop (pretty ironic name huh?) is in a better place now tormenting my heeler pup Diesel and they are having a great time. Accidents happen, and it just takes time to heal. More prayers, I am so sorry ... and I think most if not all of us on here can relate. We love our animals as if they are our children. |

Location: I'm lost - please tell me, I'm not on BHW again!!! | Thank you guys. See last night, I went out to pasture to catch the horses (the pasture is right beside the barn) and I caught them tied them up in the barn. Well Peanut was right beside me as always while Oreo was exploring the cats as usual. We have 2 horses in the barn. Peanut just went into one of the stalls (right beside where I was saddling) and all I heard was CRUNCH and there he was, his head looking normal but he couldn't get up, I ran in there an picked him up and nothing. It was horrible. Thank you for listening. |

Location: arkansas | there is nothing i can say to make you feel better, except that i understand. i lost my reese a week ago and nothing has ever hurt this much. sometimes i can't believe she is gone and still expect to see her come tearing around the corner of the barn, or crawl out from under the bed. and i still have times where i can't get the image of her laying on the road out of my head and the whole accident plays back through my mind, but those images are starting to be replaced by good things about her. and i've found that it helps, if, when i cry on the phone some nights, my boyfriend makes me tell him a story about something funny she did. it doesn't make me cry less, but it's a little easier to sleep. i am so sorry you have to go through this.

Ropinchid - thank you, this sure did make me feel better, because that's the exact way I feel. I woke up this morning and said "let's go boys" and there was only one boy and Oreo looked around as if he was saying "where's Peanut?". It is so hard, I'm trying to think of the good stories, but I can't get the image out of my head and what I could have done differently. So thank you for this story, I know it will take time. WWFH - yes, Peanut past on being the prettiest pink pooch around! Dallas tried to make me laugh lastnight by saying "do you think Taco is going to make fun of him in heaven for being Pink?". Thank you so much everyone, it sure helps me knowing that everyone is there. I know a lot of people have had worse things happen to them (and my heart goes out to them). I sure appreciate all the support. Thank you! |

Location: southern Ohio | WAI, So very sorry! Most everyone on here understands that Peanut was not just a dog, but a very viable member of your family! We understand, and if you need to talk about him all night long we will be here for you, girl! A couple of years a had a Lab and a J.R., they were as tight as could be. The J.R. got hit by a car and died, you know that Lad carried my little J.R. right into his dog house and just cried and cried. It took him awhile to recover, but he finally did! Oreo will get over the loss of his buddy too. It's just so hard that we can't explain things to them. My thoughts, prayers and hugs are with you, your hubby, and of course your other son! Hang tight! |
