Location: SE KS | Hello everyone.... ok, I normally don't do this kind of thing. However, I received this as a mailing. IT quite disturbed me, actually cried... and I didn't realize how naive' I was. The letter is from www.wildhorserescue.org. The organization is Livesavers, Inc. They are on a mission in saving these mares lives, and babies in order to produce "Premarin" for estrogen replacement treatment.... I had no clue... they are asking for donations and for signed letter of outrage to Wyeth-Ayerst the drug company that pays these people to treat these mares this way..... I was agasht (sp?) The the babies born of the premarian mare are slaughtered..... they are the unwanted by product of the market. What do we need to do? and if you were like me... not in the know.... i guess check out this website..... The pictures horrified me...... Start a movement ???????????? |
