I've been thinking about getting some to use myself but then I was thinking that this would be a good "extra" money for me. I've been wanting to get a new horse trailer and what better to have more money to pay for it. Really, how much do you have to work for it and is it worth it? |

She started doing it to get a deal on the product but I think without even trying she's getting a check every month.

Location: Arkansas | I sell Tarrah cosmetics and skin care. I'm not sure of the Mary Kay profit margin but Tarrah's starts at 30%. 40% and the highest is 45%. Depends on your order amount. But you are assured of the 30%. The reason I chose Tarrah over something like Mary Kay is many have yet to hear of Tarrah and everyone likes something new. Mary Kay is so common with tons of consultants out there. Tarrah is Vitamin E and Aloe based. I tryed the hand cream at a booth at our local fair and I was hooked. No one needs good skin care more than horse people. My husband throws a fit when he runs out of the shave gel. I'm a terrible sales person but this stuff really does sell it's self. I keep a catalog with me and put a bottle of hand lotion or something on my desk at work. Everyone that uses it will say I want that. |

Location: Fort Polk Louisiana | Okay Im going to be the dumb one here but and ask a question...
But first a background...
I tried selling Avon but dont know alot of people and the people I did know were not intrested. They kept sending me stuff and then charging me for it not telling me all I had to do was send it back. $18.00 for wrinkle cream(Im 24) I DON'T THINK SO! They would just send it to me and charge it on my account. I lost so much money because I was paying them more then I was making I just gave it up. Is MK any different? Avon to me was hard..filling out all the paperwork etc and all the online stuff was VERY complicated to me. Is MK easier? My mom and aunt like MK and I know I would have two clients right off from just that and Im moving too this summer also. Im not a real people person per say. Im not the type of person that is going to go door to door trying to sell although I have no problems putting my cards or flyers up places. I love make-up (although dont wear much) I like doing other peoples make-up and find Im good at it. |

Location: Nebraska | TCG - Talk to Dinero10... MK is nothing like Avon. In the 10 years I have been associated with it, I have never once had them send me a product and charge me for it unless I specifically ordered it. Boy that would tick me off too!!! Even though I am not "actively" selling MK, I do keep up with it. Dinero10 sounds to me to have a very good handle on things. |

Got Bassetts?

| I sell it, sort of lol. I was doing parties for friends and stuff and would make some good money at them. But I'm simply too busy to really do that anymore. I was getting all stressed out, and during my parties my brain would be on something else I would rather be doing. I wish I had more time tho. I am addicted to their products, so now I sell just enough to get the $200 that you have to have every quarter to get the products half off. Actually I sell to most of my friends/family at my cost. So I'm not making much anymore, but it works to get the stuff I want at half cost. I couldn't live without my Timewise 3-in-1 or the oil free makeup remover..that stuff is GREAT!!! Oh, and I don't know if someone has mentioned all the TAX WRITEOFFS yet!!!!! |

Got Bassetts?

| Oh, one other thing I wanted to mention on the subject..... You know how alot of people complain about the prices of MK? I love how you can try it. I can't even begin to tell you how many foundations and lipsticks I have laying around or just threw out that I bought and then never used because I got them home and they weren't the right color. |

I just don't know all of them. A lady in my office is allergic to Mary Kay, but I don't know how long it's been since she tryed to use it. She can use Tarrah because it's all natural made from Vitamin E and Aloe. |

Location: NW MT | Our small area is saturated w/Mary Kay reps, too. So I became a rep for Jafra the first of the year. I've used their products for yrs & love it...& no one sold it around here. (closest reps & my mgr are 90+ miles away.) They also have a great line of product & you make 50% profit, too. I started using their stuff yrs ago because my skin is so sensitive & most other products caused me to either break out or get a red, dry, burning sensation! You have a choice of what starter/demo kit you want. I started using products I had never tried before & LOVE it! I am over 50 now, have TRIED to keep my face protected from the sun & elements, but it was starting to show. I can't believe the difference now since I've been doing a regular regimen of the Jafra products! Any body else use them?? |

Awesome products. My daughter used to sell Mary Kay but now has a friend that I buy from. I really like the scent of the Revitalizing bath and shower products. However, liked the shower gel better than the lotion form they have now. Wish they would have left it in gel form |

| back when I was in High School(1980) my teacher sold Jafra so we had a party. I don't wear make-up but did buy some kind of a refresher. I loved it. I kept it in the icebox in the summer time and then when I would come in all hot from the arena and such would use it onl my face. It was really nice even if you had it on the rodeo rode and it wasn't kept cold. Sometimes I would keep it in the ice chest. |

If any of you would like to visit her website, it's www.marykay.com/mandydoyle . The other day I bought "Satin Hands", and it's just great! If any of you have dry hands, I'd strongly suggest getting this package! It's a four set pack and you use each product one after the other. I've been using it the past few days and I can already see a difference! :) |

Location: Nebraska | I just wanted to clarify something. The $200.00 is the amount of product you have to order each year to remain an active consultant. I sit down once a year and order product for me, my two sisters, and a friend. This $200.00 worth of product lasts us all year! I don't believe that for $200.00 4 of us could buy our makeup (including face cleansers and moisturizers and toners) for the year at the local Walmart. |
