I know it probably isn't feasible to just walk out but start looking elsewhere and then once you get another job give your notice. Good Luck! I like my job. If I had my way I would go work as a vet assistant but it doesn't pay so I will stay here. I enjoy my job though. I like working I just wish I could get off an hour or two early so I wouldn't be in the barn til 10 o'clock at night. Oh well you can't have it all |

Shoot, you can go anywhere with that job. If you really hate it, then QUIT. Not to sound morbid, but people will always be dying-- you can get a job anywhere in the medical field. My friend does Xrays/Catscans, etc ( i forget the technical term for her job, duh..) Anyway, she worked at the VA and absolutely hated it. She made the decision to quit and lose her sign on bonus. Within a week she had 3 awesome job offers. She looked into the jobs and picked the one she though would work out best with our rodeo schedule and all. Now she absolutely loves her job and couldnt be happier. I agree with whoever said QUIT! Life's too short! |

Location: Arizona | Lots of folks pick up and move all the time, even with large amounts of ash and trash. If your kid is just getting ready to go into the 9th grade, now is probably the best time to do it; I would think twice if he were getting ready for his senior year--anyplace you go, there will be new kids coming together from a couple of different middle schools, into a high school environment. He'll adjust fine, and you'll probably have a happier home if everyone--including mom, is enjoying life. At home, for us, it was always, "if momma ain't happy, nobody's happy"... |

Location: Carpenter, WY | Well I start my new job in the tack store next Tuesday. I hate to leave this place but the pay is horrible. If you ever get to Cheyenne check out Ride-N-Around and Second Go Round (the used western clothes part of the store) We'll have a traveling miniture roping arena and steer that will be at the major ropings. The have 'chicken ropings' in the store that are fun and I know most everyone that works and buys there! Kind of a high energy, people place. It should be a good place to network, meet people, and I'm going to really try and get some more horses out there. They sponsor Brandie and Frank Thompson and provide great customer service. If you want it, and they don't have it they'll get it. Great tack selection and I get a big discount. Wish me luck |

I HATE my job on certain days, if that makes sense. On disconnect days, board meeting days, paydays, and when my boss dumps all his work on my desk. I get paid 1/2 what he does. I like my job when I can leave whenever I need to, I can unload my horses in the backyard during the day when I need to, and I can BS on this board most of the time.

Location: on airplane in some other country | does anyone know of a sponser that would like to take on a subaverage barrel racer with many horses, dogs, and cats with very expensive habits. you know if you cannot ride well you must look good then people REALLY don't notice. especially when you pull up in your 2004 loaded peterbuilt, 2004 loaded 14ft shortwall ,unload your own son of first down dash (stud fee a mere $70,000) and then high lope around the barrels. well, i need to admit that i have none of the above but i can do a mean high lope around the barrel so i am still looking for a sponser so i can quit this friggin job.

Location: Wyoming | I actually have a pretty good job as far as jobs go. It pays decent and I work under a great teacher. She is a real nice lady. My problem is that I get burn out. Little kids drive me crazy. Most of them I like but then..... If I didn't have to have a job in the summer to it would work out just fine. But beings as how I do what I do I have to have a summer job. Right now I work on the paint crew for the district. The pay sucks and since it is temporary I can't get an yearly raise.javascript:smilie('2',' ');javascript:smilie('2',' ');In fact in about 15 minutes I have an interview for another job. And boy do I look like shi$. I got home late last night and just rolled out of bed and put my hair in a pony tail. My bangs kept getting in my eyes so I cut them off with the not so sharp paper scissors that were in my desk. Oh goody. Im sure they will be impressed. |

This one beeyatch I work with is such a pain. She would rather come up with a way to not cooperate with you instead of trying to work together. My daughter works in a hospital and I know what you mean about the schedule and drama there. she hates it too. Until the lotto ticket hits, I guess I'll just keep plugging away at it. |
