Location: USA | Some of them are called Airgates. Tractor supply carries them and I know Northern tool carries them. Possibly your local auto parts store can order. |

Location: Texas | I had looked into getting one of these to replace my tailgate I crunched when I forgot to put my tailgate down after I unhooked and started pulling out from under the trailer. I thought for sure there must be a tailgate out there made so that you don't have to worry about this happening. Where once the trailer is raised up high enough to be off the ball, that it would be high enough to go thru the "V" in the tailgate. But I was wrong. Those "V" tailgates are made for fifth wheel trailers, not for gooseneck. I even tried posting on Horsetrailerworld, but no help. But I really think someone needs to invent one of these. Not sure if that is why you are looking for one, but just wanted to share my experience. |

Location: Millen Ga | tailgate thingy LOL Actually thats what I started to post and ask about hehe
TBone actually the truck i am looking at doesn't have a tailgate at all, and I wondered how hard it would be to find a matching tailgate vs one of those, or even vs the webb deal.. anyone have any thoughts on this? I know they say a tailgate actually makes your gas mileage worse. any truth to that? I figured the cut out part was to allow for better clearance for the trailer or something. ANyway also thanks for the suggestion of tractor supply i love that place! |

Location: Texas Gulf Coast | Many years ago I ruined my tailgate (by taking off in the up position) and replaced it with one of those web kind. They stretch out eventually from flapping in the the wind, and I finally threw it away. Went with the airflow type. Like mentioned above, TSC, or someone that installs/sells truck accessories. |
