I had vet out to do teeth, she drew blood and took fecal. Blood work shows anemia, low white and red blood cells, so saying she's fighting a liver issue or maybe cancer?

Suggested a steroid shot? I have her on brome, alfalfa, and a senior feed.

Any suggestions?

Shes regularly wormed and im going to start diatomaceous earth today.

Thanks

What did the vet say to do?  I would think that they gave you a feeding program to try and follow and medicine to give?

Why would you start the diatomaceous earth?

If the horse had no worm issue, then the vet shoudl have recommended more feed with a higher fat content and if anemic, a product/medicine to deal with that.

Keep it simple.  Follow an equine vets protocol.  On feed and medicine.

Good luck.

Find your nearest equine teaching hospital. Find out if it's liver or cancer. Without a diagnosis, you're throwing mud at a wall.

I would have the horse checked out by another vet but RED CELL will build blood.
