| I am looking at purchasing a 4 year old Eddie gelding. He was never paid into incentives. Wondering how much this effects their value on resale and in the future? It's a gelding, probably not going to be ready for futurity year. I looked online and it says Premier Link will only be happening this year. Looking for opinions and insight. Also, wondering about general demeanor and trainability of Eddie colts. Thanks solitaire

At 4 years old I’d worry a lot more about his mind and training than the incentive money. If he’s sound, willing and learns fast, that’ll matter way more on resale than a program he was never paid into. Heck, plenty of nice horses never had the paperwork lined up. |
