She was in Kinder for the Lance Graves slot race and had hitch a ride with Kelly from Animal Krackers. The went to bed last night in Kelly's trailer and when Kelly woke up this morning she found Sharon had Passed in her sleep. Sharon had been dealing with heart conditions for the past few years, but had not had any problems for a while. This information came from Mike her hubby who is on his way to Kinder as I type.

Oh my This is very sad and tragic indeed! such a wonderful helpful & kind Lady. She will be deeply missed in the horse world.  she was a proud American and we had talked many times about heart problems. God be with all her family and freinds at this time. So Sad..... such a precious lady....  Keep your Hearts open!

She was the happiest when she moved to Texas. I never saw Sharon when she wasnt smiling and trying to help someone. I realize now that you should never just expect to see someone but to embrace each moment that you do see someone and really appreciate it. Sharon loved to talk horses and was never at a loss for words. It is ironic that she spent her last hours in her home state. Sharon will be greatly missed and prayers for her family and friends. |

Location: Haskell, Ok | Sharon was such an awesome lady. I hadn't spoken with her in 3 years! Recently JUST 3 days ago.. we reconnected on facebook. I am so thankful I took the time to message her and SAY HEY REMEMBER ME? Her answer was.. "Why yes of course I do, how could I not remember your smiling face!?" We caught up about horses, good times, and the bad times.
When I was younger, growing up in a non horsey family, I turned to Sharon for many questions. I owe her alot for all the knowledge she just willing gave to me. I know I am not the only one that she has helped. We can all see she has influenced SO many others in this horse world that she loved so much.
Sharon was SUPER excited about Kinder though. She told me that she just loved it there! The great cajun food and the casinos... It was a special place to her. How ironic ...is very true.
We already miss you girlfriend! My prayers go out to Kelly, Mike, family, and close friends. In times like these it is so hard on everyone when someone is taken so suddenly when we least expect it.
Everything happens for a reason and I know she was put in my life for one. |

Location: Florida, the land of horses and sunshine(usually!) | I am heartsick after reading this. A mutual friend here in Florida called me this morning and told me what happened. I bought a horse from Sharon many years ago when I lived up in Ct. She was absolutely one of the nicest people I ever met. A friend had come down with me to try out horses and Sharon put her on her good horse to ride while we rode together. My friend liked the horse, and about a year later Sharon had decided to move back to La. to be by family. She called me in Ct. and told me she couldn't bring all the horses to La. , and asked me to tell my friend that the horse she had ridden was for sale...and was she interested. She was, and went left the following week in my truck and trailer to come down and get him. As we arrived in Fl., the truck transmission decided to only have first and second gear. We "limped" to the motel for the night. Sharon was an angel...got me all hooked up with the best garage to deal with. My friend rented a car and went to the East Coast to see her parents, rather than sit around and wait. Sharon worked a regular job at the time, and when she got out of work she came and got me at the motel and brought me to her place to stay. I had not told my husband what happened, and was determined not to until we got back home to Ct. He would have worried to death. Sharon helped me make the right decisions about the truck....she fought for me with the local dealership about the warrantee...The parts had to be ordered, and her garage was ready and waiting to fix the truck, rather than wait for the dealership. She convinced them to pay her garage for the work under the warrantee. She was such a blessing to me on that trip. I can still remember her arm around me and the big hug I got when I wimped out about the whole thing and cried. She could make any situation seem trivial. We reconnected when she began selling the Oxy products, and then again on Facebook a few months ago. She asked if I was going to the show in Perry in the hopes we could meet up again. I am heartbroken I did not have that opportunity to see her again. Rest in peace, my friend. You will be sadly missed. Prayers and hugs to Mike. |

Some say they can not imagine what her friend felt like when she woke up. I was with my FIL when he had a massive heart attack in the field as we were getting hay. We were too far out for cell service and the ambulance took 30 minutes. There was only one other person with us. I spent the 30 minutes in the field alone with him trying to keep him alive, while the other fellow waited at the road for the ambulance. For months his face and look when he took his last breath was embedded in my head. I have never cried so much and carried anger around. I wondered why, why I had to be there, why I had to see. She will be in my prayers, it is so hard to go through. It was later God final gave me the answers. But the pain was tremendous my FIL was the only father I ever really knew.
Sharon was a true friend to so many where they had not felt this before. Our time was short with her, but we feel blessed to have had it. Continued prayers |

Just as so many have said, just a couple of weeks ago, she was helping out at a barrel race in the arena -- she wasn't putting on the race, just saw that help was needed, and stayed until I was able to get back in the arena.
She will be missed at the races. Glad she went doing what she loved!!

| I just saw this news. I am very sad. I was working with Sharon on introducing the Equilibrium Horse Products to barrel racing and she was promoting the massage pad for us. She was a wonderful lady. Always upbeat. I feel so happy that I had known her even for just a short while. She and I had been making plans to take the Equilibrium Products to the NFR finals in Las Vegas. I am in total shock.
Something like this reminds us to to hold our friends and family close and "live everyday like you are dying" and to be kind to others - this is what Sharon did. I had stupidly locked myself out of my car at a Barrel Racing Show just recently in Terrell and Sharon and Mike went out of their way to get my car unlocked for me. She had been encouraging me to take up barrels. I will miss her terribly. |

Expedited Prayers & Sympathies to Mike & Sharon's entire family.
Sharon was always willing to "take in strays" such as myself. While
at Durant (WBR) us girls (Amy, Sharon, I & a truckload of other gals)
went out to eat nearby. I taken my leftovers back to the trailer,
since I didn't have a fridge in mine; Sharon opend up her trailer
to me without hesitation (never met before) Hey; it's not so much
that she helped a stranger out; it's the fact that I could tell she really
cared and tried to HELP all she met, from show to show, she sat up
her booth of which we all congregated. Very invitive, warm, caring,
fun & generous.....I'll never forget her......Cherish Your Memories :)
Anybody whoes met Sharon; also knows, she's NEVER met a stranger.
From that day forward, we kept in contact and became "phone friends"
for a while. As time and personal events, take us ALL in different directions,
it happens to the best of us at anytime without notice & it hurts when we lose
anyone whoes touched our hearts with kindness and friendship.

I want to say, thank you to all the folks posting memories and times spent with Sharon...she is proudly looking down and encouraging our runs, and asking us to not cry; but be happy and have fun...remember her words of wisdom and pass them on. Tomorrow I ride in her honor....it may not be perfect, or fast...but we are going to have fun, and we will do it for you gal...miss you and love you...
My thoughts and prayers go to Mike, he is on a journey and his heart is healing...The Lord knows his needs, and the Lord will lift Mike up... I got your back Mike! |

| I am just sorry for Sharon's passing. She helped me with my futurity horse in 2005. She was very nice. Blessings to her family.

Very well said. I can here her now, "Sit Down"!!! from somewhere in the crowd as I make my run. "HURRY" as I'm coming off headed the next...... No matter where you we running I could always here Sharon in the background while I was making a run. Its like I listened for her voice to help me during the run. If it wasn't for Sharon, I wouldn't own Boons Prescription (AKA Harley) my sorrel coon tail mare that I run now. She was bought about 500 yards from her house. I was looking for a young horse to start and Sharon and Mike told me about their neighbor that was wanting to sell all her young horses and their mothers. So I went down and picked one out. Come to find out, the one I picked was one that had gotten hurt several months earlier and Sharon and Mike had to take care of her while their neighbors was out of town. Sharon told me that Harleys attitude hadn't change at all. She was still the Witch she was then when they were doctoring her cut. Now though she was worse. Told me that was what made her the horse she was. LOL....tough and gritty.....These next several months will be hard to make runs without listening for "Sit down" and "Hurry". We had planned on going out to eat in Glen Rose in a couple of weeks.
Sharon Glen Rose will be for you My Friend. Harley, Emily and I will try our best to make each run count for you. Love you!

He wants you all to know that if you need any Ulcer Stop to go ahead and call the house I will be answering the messages and shipping out the products for you. Sharon cared about our horses, and would not anyone to do without Also, No word on a memorial service as of yet. Mike thinks it could possibly be towards the end of next week? I'll keep you posted.............................When cleaning up the counter in looking for some of Sharon's and Mike's important paperwork,for Mike. I came across Sharon's entry for Glen Rose, in a stamped envelope, ready to send. It really makes you stop and think. Things change in the blink of an eye. Really nice service held for Sharon.
The video that played had pictures from when she was a child through school and her lovely wedding to Mike.
As well as, her barrel racing career on several great horses....
Ending with current pictures with her niece, riding her stuffed horse....
Flowers were arranged everywhere!!! Sharon was surely happy with just enough, but not to much.
Prayers to Mike, God will give you strengh to go forward.
