I just got a knee brace yesterday and I am so excited! I've had problems with my knee for years due to many horse related injuries (yay). What experiences do y'all have with the BOT products made for us???

I have the shorts & wear them to sleep in when my hips are hurting. I think they help.

I would be interested in hearing about the socks too... Anybody have those?

I tore my patellar ligament about 10 years ago. Never quite healed right. Swelling and pain are daily issues. I finally broke down and bought the knee brace for myself after purchasing everything I could for my horses. I sleep in it every night. The swelling is down dramatically which then alleviates a majority of the pain. The nights I pass out before putting it on I definitely pay for it in the morning.

I hope you feel better! I am sold on BOT products.

I'm kind of doing the same thing.. I wanted to see if it helped me at all before investing butt loads of money on the products for my horse... I know after a few minutes of wearing it last night my leg felt warm like my circulation may have increased, but that could've been from how thick the brace is....

I'm glad it worked for you!! So is it best to sleep in it or wear it throughout the day? I wish some sort of instructions came with it!!!!

I slept on my horse's back blanket for a week and didn't feel a thing (had it next to my skin too), but I have the leg wraps for Cash and they help significantly when he gets stocked up....my vet likes BOT but the jury is still out for me.

I'm not sold on BOT we got a blanket for one of our shooting horses. I slept in it a couple nights but felt nothing. Have used it on the horse but haven't noticed any difference with him......I'll stick with PHT in my barn since I've felt the difference in myself.

I think it is all so person/horse specific. Just like Ibuprofen is my drug of choice when I have pain, some people arent helped at all by Ibuprofen but only by hydrocodone, for example. And hydrocodone would put me on my butt. Ive had horses that felt like a million bucks on Cosequine and others where i couldnt tell a difference. It just depends on how each body responds. My friend's husbands' steer roping horse is a rock star with his BOT knee boots and before they thought he might be totally done. I have a full set of boot
s and hock boots. I havent really noticed a big difference but I dont have any horses who are older, sore, or injured where i might notice a notable difference. However, i do think they are a good investment for those times of soreness, injury or arthritis is a horse i have or may have in the future. If nothing else, it wont hurt them.

We had this exact discussion on FB yesterday. LOL.  I haven't been using them but am considering trying the shirt/boxers for my husband and one of the shirts for me.  I had a vet tell me he thought they were a bunch of junk, until he got the knee brace, now he swears by them.  Everyone yesterday was overwhelmingly positive.  I bought a sheet that we're trying on my filly, she's got a badly bruised hip.  Putting mineral ice under it and seeing how she goes.  It seems to be a product that needs to be fitted to the body and next to the skin.  I wouldn't think that you'd tell any difference by just laying on a blanket?  I don't know, just been doing some research it it doesn't seem like that would work.

Okay, so from what I understand it that the BOT products are ceramic infused and they reflect the bodies heat to that part. So this is supposed to increase circulation, but I would be concerned with using these products on new injuries that need cold to reduce inflammation.

Bought the knee brace and my knee blew up and itched like crazy.

Bought a shirt...Nothing.

Bought a Tommie Copper knee brace and it is beyond awesome. I also use my horse's PHT 3 in 1.

I sold my PHT after I had great results with the BOT wrist wrap for my tendonitis. I agree with the above poster that some things work well for some and not others.  I originally bought the PHT products after hearing such great testimonials.  When I injured my back, I tried them on myself and didn't notice any difference.  I decided to sell my PHT after that and invest in BOT.  I've been very happy with the BOT and notice a difference in my horse when she wears her sheet/neck hood and when she doesn't.  I don't think you can go wrong with either product and they both hold their value so if you don't end up liking them, you can sell them for a good price.

I have quite a few of the BOT products for both my horses and my family. My mare's hocks are fusing so she spends a lot of time in her BOT hock wraps and I can definitely see the difference when she comes out of her stall in the morning if she has had the hock wraps on or not. I also can not seem to get her blanket on her fast enough - I don't open the front, just slide it over her head and she is trying to shove her head in to it before I am even ready to put it on - she doesn't do it with any of her other blankets including her PHT so I am pretty sure she likes that one the best (I do like the PHT also - and I think she does too but not quite like her BOT).

I have very achy joints so I have the BOT ankle, knee, and elbow braces. They definitely do make my joints feel better when they are hurting. I also live in the socks - I have quite a few pairs and that is all I wear now. I have bunions which were always very painful and since I have started wearing the socks, I rarely have the pain like I used to have. My son lived in his BOT wrist brace for quite a long time after he realized he had fractured his wrist (and didn't have it taken care of in time). It rarely bothers him at all now where he used to have constant pain. I have the Tommie Copper knee and elbow sleeves but I do not get the same relief from those as I do from my BOT braces.

My husband and I also have the long johns, long sleeve shirts and dickey bib for cold weather. I am not sure how much they help but they sure are warm and feel good!

My cats also love the BOT products because if I leave any of them in the barn where they can get to them, within minutes they are all over them and DO NOT want to move - they are like a cat magnet! The cats have their kitty beds, kitty towers, and a couch in our heated barn so it isn't like the BOT items are the only warm thing they can find to lay on but they sure do gravitate to them within minutes of one becoming available!

I have noticed the exact same thing with my barn kitties :-)
