| What is your favorite grain to feed to your performance horses? Why do you like it over other products you may have tried?
Thanks, just curious what everyone uses. |

Location: London Ontario | I feed, whole triple cleaned oats, alfalfa pellets, Buckeye Gro N win. I top dress with ground flax, MSM, THE Muscle Mass with double ulcer and regular joint and some salt. I soak it all to make it into a mash. I also feed a large scoop of mini timothy/alfalfa cubes soaked at night with their regular hay. |

I really liked the results I had on Renew Gold. My horse looked and felt so good! It didn't seem to amp her up but I never felt like she didn't have any fire either. The cost keeps it a reasonable option. I pair it with Forco for an extra boost of prebios to help boost digestive efficiency.

Location: Tuttle Oklahoma | I love Renew Gold with Alfalfa. It has made a huge difference in my horses! I have tried almost everything strategy, ultium, omolene, pro force fuel, and kool speed just to name a few. I like the smaller portions and the cool energy that doesn't make them hot. My horses have really filled out since being on renew gold. I also give a custom formula of muscle mass to my ulcer prone gelding. |

| I feed a locally milled 4.5% NSC/Starch mix that is working great! It is designed for laminitic horses but works great if you just need something to give your horses to fill them up yet keep the sugars and starches EXTREMELY low. |

| Tribute Kalm 'N EZ (low sugar, low starch), MVP 6-way, Red Cell, quality alfalfa/grass hay
I did not have good luck with Buckeye Gro N Win...it wasn't enough calories and I was spending more $$ top dressing it to up the calories and fat my mare needed. It just didn't work for me. I think it works great for an easy keeper/ retired horse because it's a low ration feed.
The simpler, the better.

Location: North Dakota | First of all, I WOULD feed the Omnis cubes if I could get them. Seeing as I can't, I feed whole oats, Alfalfa (I've tried every form, currently testing out chopped), flax, and Renew Gold (although suddenly I'm not seeing it at my Tractor Supply so if I can't get it in the future I'll just be doing rice bran from...uh...manna pro I think it is...that's what I got to tide me over for now. And of course grass hay!!! The amounts of each feed vary depending on the individual horse, workload, etc. But at the moment my gelding's daily ration (split in 2 feedings) is 2lbs oats, 4lbs alfalfa, 1/2lb RG (or rice bran), and for Flax he gets a Smartpak supplement in the mornings. He's never looked better. |

There is absolutely no reason for Tractor Supply not to be able to have Renew Gold in stock. Nothing in production is back ordered anywhere, nor will it be in the future. If the store says that they can't get it, they are not telling you the truth, and they just did not order it. Nor do they need to place a large order to get it. Any Tractor Supply can get any amount that they want with a simple order. TSC product number is 1054391. |

Only problem is winwillows, you do a great job at production and distribution but all the Tractor Supply stores I have been into ( there are like 6 in my area) could CARE LESS about ANYTHING. They are the Walmart of feed stores. All they care about is volume not customer service. Atleast in my area. So it should be available but who knows what tractor supply is doing or if they even care to help you. THat has been my personal experience. Good thing for me in So CAL is RG is everywhere! :) |

agree....
we have several TSC stores, samething, they could care less of what they have on the shelves......
it is corporate ran and what corporate wants in the stores is what they get....
the employees tell me they have no say on what gets ordered or discont, its higher powers that be that run the products...... |

Since last month I can order the RG on a raincheck at my local TSC. So it is not randomly ordered but directly against my name. That should eliminate the problem of corporate butting in and deciding what is ordered or not. |

| My guess is RG is not a high selling item volume wise. All the purina nutrena and TS brand stuff has priority. Not to mention crazy distribution. My TS is located right next to a nutrena mill. That mill ships it all across country to central distribution then back to California. So if i fed nutrena i am getting 90 day old feed that was literally Milled next door.

Location: Willows, CA | Renew Gold is a growth product in Tractor Supply that has to go through a process to end up in all stores as a standard stocked item. We are in the middle of that process with them now. At first it was in one then two TSC distribution centers. Now it is in all of them, but still on a ordered by individual store basis. Some stores are great and some are not at this. We have TSC stores that order by the ton, and some that don't order at all. When the last step comes, which is standard placement in all TSC stores the problems pretty much go away. The choice to order is then taken out of the managers hands and the system automatically puts it in every TSC store and reorders whenever a bag is sold. Feel free to call if you have an issue. We can get the store on track most of the time whether it is an independent feed store or a TSC.

Yes, imagine how we feel. We could not work harder at getting RG to our customers. Unlike most feed companies, we are actually horse people too. TSC is a blessing in some areas where independent stores don't carry our products, and a curse in areas where people need it and a TSC that is right there will not bother to help. It has gotten better in the last few months with "in stock" percentages up over 80% in the stocking TSC stores that carry it. If and when it goes to the next phase with them it will be out of the individual stores hands, and stocking will be automatic. I still love independent feed stores, and we continue to support them in any way we can. We do have a great team that can help keep or get it in stock if a customer calls us. |
