Does anyone use the Protein/Mineral tub from Tractor supply?  I was thinking of getting a mineral tub to put out in the pasture for my horses.  I have two easy keepers and want to make sure they get all the vitamins and minerals they need.  I was thinking of getting the Equilix because I didn't want the gel like tube ful of molasses Stablelyx cause I knew my fattys would just eat it like candy...   BUT I got a Equilix in the past and had a horse who wouldnt lick it AT ALL and don't want to waste $70...   ran across these and looked like a good price.  Still has molasses but doesn't look as bad as the Stablelyx..

I've never bought one of those, but I do get the ADM Pro Vita-Min 100lb tubs. They have all the essential things a horse needs without the 30% molasses that other tubs have. It's also 20% protein vs 16% and only $60 vs $100 to Purina 60lb tubs chalk full of.molasses. I purchased some of the equilix ones last year and while my horses loved them all 4 were gone in a little over a week and I bought the big 60lb ones. The ones I have now, the horses attacked and I thought they would be gone in no time but 4 months later they are maybe a little over half gone and I haven't noticed the horses gorging on them like before but still using them so I assuming they were lacking something and now they are balanced and just taking in a normal amount.
