I recently purchased a charmayne james record breaker saddle. I love the saddle because it fits every horse and is really comfortable and light but I have noticed that ever since owning it I cannot seem to sit my seat around a barrel. Has anyone else had this issue with this saddle?

I just feel that it is the fact that my stirrups seem to be hung right underneath me. It could also be because I usually prefer a larger seat than most people. I have a14.5" but should probably be riding in a 13.5".

I am just curious what people's opinions are.
Thanks,
Kari

I had a regular Charmayne James and it was a 14 and I ride a 13.5.  I loved the saddle, but I flopped around like a fish.  I blamed it on the size.

I have the same size - 14.5" recordbreaker and I love it. I was okay in it though I did feel like it could have been a more snug fit - I'm 5'5" and 120lbs.

I have 2 CJ's both the regular barrel racer not the Record Breaker.  One is a 13" the other a 14" ,    I wish both were 13's.  I love those saddles.
