My town has a holiday night parade in a couple of weeks. I am going to put something in it representing our local rodeo. Nothing too elaborate because I'm leaving for the NFR shortly after that. I was thinking either just my pick up truck decorated somehow, or I could use my trailer too. This parade is all about lights because it's after dark. Has anyone tried the solar Christmas lights or battery pack lights? I was thinking an inflatable bull, cowboy, or horse would be cool in the back of the pickup, or up on my hay rack. Any ideas on how to decorate with a rodeo theme?

You just described the best rodeo dressup you could do easily and inexpensively ...

Do the standard rodeo red/white/blue bunting they hang on fences or over balconies at front and rear sides of truck with a big NFR banner in between the two ... dress some kids up as cowgirls and cowboys and a rodeo clown to ride in the back and give them the little cheap $2 LED flashlights to flash around .... colored paper over the lenses can add more color ..

Figure the wattage used by some AC LED Christmas lights and buy you one or two of these DC to AC Inverters to power the lights ... keep in mind to not go above 300 watts on each light string .... the 600w is a surge when Inverter is turned on ... not for continuous use. Around $50 each .... http://www.tripplite.com/en/products/model.cfm?txtSeriesID=815&txtM...

These inverters are handy to have on the road to use AC items off of a 12v DC system ... so not a waste of money and neither are the lights ... if you are plugged into AC you can string them on your trailer or at home for Christmas decorations ....

GOOD LUCK .... WHOOPS YOU SAID LOCAL RODEO .... CHANGE THE BANNER ... lol

Does your trailer have drop down windows? Have bulls, horses, etc hanging their heads out the windows.
