Equine Body Clippers?
Location: Down South Mississippi
I'm am in search of a GOOD pair of clippers to do the horses whole body. I have been using my small ones for the past couple of years because I've been too cheap to invest in sokme good ones. But now I'm ready! Which ones do you guys recomend. The big blue Oster ones just seem to bulky. The Lister Star has some bad reviews about getting hot. Any recomendations?

We've always used the Oster's. Yes bulky, but they get the job done.

I have two pair of Sunbeam clippers-big ones. They're old as the hills but still work great. I use them to clip hairy legs in the winter, under the jaw, etc. I have used them to body clip when I was getting a horse ready for an early spring sale but no longer. If I'm not mistaken they are also used to shear sheep, so I'd think someone still makes big clippers.

I use my A5 Turbo to do all my clipping work from whiskers to full body. I don't think they are big or bulky at all. I have also done full bodies with the Wahl Stable Pros as well

I use a Andis UltraEdge AGC Super 2-Speed Clipper. They are really quiet and do an awesome job. I am a dog groomer and I bring them home to use on my horses all the time. You can look, sometime they come with a horse body blade too. I think they run about $130. I've had mine for about 5 years now and I've only had to replace the cord once, but I am also using them for 5-8 hours a day and 5-6 days a week.
