Leo - 2013-12-02 1:47 AM Short shank lifters are my BFF, got to have a 3 piece twisted, dogbone or life saver.  No jr cowhorse allowed.

O-ring, obviously.

Jim Warner Hack

Hodgkins (sp?) futurity bit

Goosetree Simplicity

Loomis

Rutledge Roper, crazy right?

Martha Josey with the chain mouth piece and the nose band...name escapes me at the moment

Tender touch is my #1 go to

I was glad to see someone mention this one. This is my #1 as well. I like my Loomis gag and O-ring to ride in, but I LOVE my tender touch both short and long shank.

I love the Goostree bits.  I love my Simplicity II, bought it years ago before Classic Equine started making and selling her bits.

thanks for all the replies!! It's nice to see that there are some bits that everyone likes and works for them. I just want to broaden my horizons and learn how to use some new tools!

I have a million snaffle bits. That's pretty much all I use. I like the Pozzi lifter bits and most of the Goostree bits. Bits I don't like are Ed Wright Pretzel, Sweet 6, and the Myler 3-Ring Combo bit.
