I had a nice grey mare about 7-8 years ago by Willie Wanta Dash out of a Chicks Beduino daughter. Very talented, very easy going, just needed seasoning and at the time I didn't want to deal with that, so I sold her. I got great money for her and the gal loves her. I wish I would've kept her.

Lyndee stairs has a stud by him - Otro Fracaso. He is making some awesome babies as a fairly new stud. Big, red, fantastic under pressure, smooth riding, kind, I'm a fan. They all have short backs and great shoulder too.

There are a lot of videos of his get on the pattern. You may think they're all the same horse but he just puts his stamp on them all. My two year old by him is 15.3 and a doppelgänger for Sippin Diesel, who is kicking some serious tail in TX youth with Taylor Rich right now.

Otro Fracaso is out of a Merridoc mare, but the Willy is definitely visible.

Are you looking at a WWD?

Yes, he is the main one I know of. The mare I have is a 3/4 sister to Otro.

Oh nice. I'd love to see a pic! Do you run her? Lyndee's favorite cross on him (I think) is Firewater Flits.

Yes, he was owned by Joe and Roberta Duarte when they lived in Temecula. I lived in their guest house for a while before I got married. They can run that's for sure.

Edited to add: if it was a cross on a more turny type mare, I'd look at it.  Such as Frenchman's guys or Firewater Flits. He did throw a lot of "double swirled" babies though.

We had a broodmare that we bought that was an own daughter and a gd to Special Effort.  She was the biggest gray mare I have ever owned.  I'll bet she was nearly 17 hh but I never sticked her so I don't know for sure.  She was a very kind mare but because of the track we could never get her feet right.  We ended up just giving her to the Girl Scout Camp a couple hours away.  We had one baby out of her and so far the guy that owns that baby loves her.

This is Pure Willie
